His favorite kind of music is punk rock. He is also good at martial arts, as he can do an uchi kick and can play as make believe ninjas with his friend Peter.
Howie lives with his grandmother Harriet and older sister Hortense. Their parents are never seen or mentioned.
Villainous Acts[]
- In "Chip's School Trip", Howie mistakes Chip's pet mouse, Potato, for a snack while she is disguised as a stuffed animal, and unknowingly tries to eat her. Later on, he rides on a statue of a horse, and two of the museum visitors stare at him for touching an exhibit. He later feels sorry for Chip after she accidentally loses Potato, and she agrees to give Howie her lunch. Potato later reappears in Chip's lunchbag, scaring him and the other students.
- In "Back to School Chip", he teases Chip because she still has spots from getting sick. He later apologizes after Gigglish reminds him she was sick.
- In "Puggy Parent-Teacher Day", he disrupts the class by taking and throwing Potato while she's disguised, next to a pile of tomatoes. (Neither Potato nor the tomatoes are harmed, as she lands safely) As punishment, both he and Chip cannot attend recess that day.
- In "Chip's Sleepaway T-Shirt", he steals a slice of pizza from someone else's order while Chip is looking. He apologizes to the waiter, who accepts the apology. His grammy Harriet is disappointed in Howie and Chip, and as punishment they cannot have ice cream for dessert.
- In "Boo-bam's School Visit", Howie shakes Nico's favorite beanie snuggly, Boo-bam, too hard; and the toy panda loses a sparkle. He later says it was an accident. Later on, after failing to throw a bean bag through a basketball net, Howie steals Boo-bam out of Nico's backpack, and throws him on top of the net. (Potato later rescues Boo-bam). During one of Mr. Diggerty's songs, "Can I Hug Your Snuggly?", Howie apologizes and learns to be more careful with other people's belongings.
- In "Howie Has Heart", when Sergeant Cooler shows the class a key that can unlock any door, Howie asks her if he could use the key to steal from a candy store; and she tells him that he would be arrested if that happened. Later on, after Chip finds Howie's long-lost stuffed toy, Hug Bat, and gives him back, Howie apologizes and admits that he was jealous that Chip still had her own stuffed toy. In return, after Chip accuses him of taking Potato, he honestly admits it wasn't him, and agreed to help look for her. Later on, Chip's father (Little Poppa) lets Howie and his best friend Peter ride inside the police car, and Howie presses a button that turns on the siren.
