They are major antagonists in the First Round and the Second Round, minor antagonists in the Third Round and the Fourth Round, supporting antagonists in the Fifth Round and the Sixth Round, minor antagonists in the Seventh Round and the Eighth Round and supporting antagonists in the Tenth Round of the Ragnarok Tournament.

Huginn & Muninn are two birds belonging to the Norse Pantheon, as well as the two assistants of Odin, the King of the Norse Gods, who remain perpetually on his shoulder and comment on everything that happens around them for their master, scolding and also giving orders on behalf of Odin.

They are voiced by Taisuke Nakano (Huginn), who has also voiced Tokushirou Tsurumi in Golden Kamuy and Seth Anderson in Edens Zero, and Tomohiro Yamaguchi (Muninn), who has also voiced Marin Hollow in Fairy Tail and Yuan in Shenmue: The Animation, in the Japanese dubbed version of the anime adaptation. They are voiced by Jason Palmer (Huginn) and Ben Pronsky (Muninn) in the English dub.

Appearance[]

Huginn and Muninn are two birds belonging to the raven race. One of the two has black plumage and blue eyes, the other has white plumage and yellow eyes.

Personality[]

Huginn & Muninn are very proud and talkative ravens, and despite being only birds they see Humans as inferior beings and take full advantage of their relationship with Odin to influence others towards their extermination. However, because they are only a weak pair of ravens, they usually stop talking immediately when they feel threatened or when Odin gets really angry.

Biography[]

Huginn & Muninn are two ravens belonging to the Norse Pantheon and the two assistants of Odin. Both are present at the 2000 B.C. Gods' Council, during which it was decided that Humanity would be spared but still punished for their arrogance, on Odin's shoulders.

Huginn & Muninn participate in the XXI Century Gods' Council, during which it is decided that Humanity would be exterminated, but just before Zeus can decree its end, Brunhilde intervenes and suggests testing Humanity using Ragnarok. The two crows oppose both the Valkyrie's intervention and her proposal, but when Brunhilde provokes the Gods thinking they are afraid of Humans Ragnarok is decided, and Odin becomes part of the Gods Fighters, the representatives of the Gods during the competition.

Huginn & Muninn remain on Odin's shoulders throughout Ragnarok, attending the various Rounds together with their master. During the First Round they cheer Thor all the time and cheer at his victory, claiming that they never had any doubts about the outcome. During the Second Round, when Zeus begins to assume his Adamas Form, the two ravens are amazed and are captured by Loki transformed into Thor who threatens to eat them, though Odin steps in and stops the God of Mischief. Huginn & Muninn then have Loki explain that both Adam and Zeus are now at their limit and it is only a matter of time before one of them gives in, which finally happens with Adam.

During the Fifth Round Loki, discovered that Buddha is secretly helping the Humans, attacks him supported by the Seven Lucky Gods, while Buddha is helped by Kojiro Sasaki, Soji Okita and Isami Kondo. However Zeus and Odin, with Huginn & Muninn, intervene and stop the battle in the bud, though the two crows are frightened when Odin smiles maliciously after Zeus says that Ragnarok is not going as they had thought. At the end of the Sixth Round Huginn & Muninn scold Beelzebub together with Odin for bringing back Hajun and risking ruining the Ragnarok Tournament.

At the end of the Ninth Round Huginn & Muninn, with Odin, participates in a meeting between all the remaining Gods Fighters in which it is decided to quickly obtain the last two victories that the Gods need to win the Ragnarok Tournament. Anubis offers to fight in the Tenth Round, but is overtaken by Susano'o no Mikoto who decides to fight in the Tenth Round. Shortly before the Tenth Round however, Huginn & Muninn are perplexed first by seeing Buddha question Odin about why he imprisoned Siegfried in Tartarus and, subsequently, by Beelzebub's revelation that Odin's wish is to resurrect the Primordial Gods by sacrificing his body. The subsequent intervention of Thor, Sakata Kintoki and Adamas interrupts the fight, and Huginn & Muninn retreat together with Odin and Thor.

Powers and Abilities[]

Overall Abilities: Being ravens, Huginn & Muninn are able to fly. Furthermore, since they are the assistants of Odin and consequently bound to a God, they are biologically immortal and cannot die of old age.

Human Intelligence and Speech: Unlike most animals, Huginn & Muninn possess Human intelligence and are capable of speaking.
