Marcus, better known as The Human Chess King is the main antagonist of the Shiloh & Bros video Human Chess in Real Life and a major character in it's sequel Human Chess in Real Life 2. He was the former king of the White Castle before being defeated by Shiloh and her friends in a game of chess.
He was portrayed by Mason McClure.
Biography[]
Human Chess in Real Life[]
The episode begins with him smiling evilly when sitting at his throne, then Shiloh and her friends come to his castle and demand to give Elijah back to them, then he says if they want Elijah back, he challenges them to a game of chess. He then says the winner keeps him, he then shuts the window on Elijah's cell when he tells them to leave him, then eats an apple. He then pulls Judah's underwear out of thin air when Judah mocks him for getting an apple out of thin air. The gang think who would be the king when playing chess, then Judah would be agreed to be the king.
They then accept the challenge and then they are transported to a chess like realm, the gang are the black chess figures and the Human Chess King, Marcus, and his team are the white chess figures and get ready for combat, then he informs that take out the king to win. When they start, he thinks they are doing the Bulgarian Double Duck formation, and then defends his pawn with his knight to C3.
He then moves his bishop to C4. Then when Lily is slain, she is revived since she is still a pawn. He then tells Judah it is not himself he made mistakes, but Judah himself. He then tells his knight to pick the gang's knight's piece, who gets slain and trapped in a cell like Elijah. The King sees the gang's horrified expressions and tells them they are exactly what he wanted them to be.
He then moves his pawn to D3, then Judah moves his pawn to D6. The King moves his knight to E2, after that, he calls Judah a pawn, which offends Judah. He tells the gang he didn't take Elijah by himself, Elijah came on his own. They then fight in chess. And all this, Shiloh gets herself confronted, then gets freed with help from her friends and takes out the King's pawn. She then confronts the King, then Judah refers to this as checkmate. But this isn't over, as the King says he can't take her, but one of his minions can, and the minion slays her, putting her in a cell. Then they fight again, He then uses his minions and they get beaten, and the King himself then gets confronted, and tells them they win.
He takes off his crown, which after that, Elijah's cell breaks, then says to them that they beat him, then vanishes. The team dance victoriously and his minions are free from their cells.
Human Chess in Real Life 2[]
He appears again in the sequel of the video, but as a major character. He is summoned and then after this, he and the gang are challenged to a game of chess by the Shadow King. Although helping them, when starting the challenge, he did still think himself to be a king. He then helps the gang in defeating the Shadow King, and in here, it's revealed his name is Marcus. Shiloh points out when they are fighting the Shadow King and his minions, she says to him where is his queen, he remains silent. They continue to fight them. He tells them the Shadow King took his queen. He then helps them to bring Elijah. Through strategy and thinking, they defeat the Shadow King, and Marcus is sent back to his old kingdom via the Arxis, where he find his queen, and hug each other and everyone cheers.
