Mike Miller, also known as the Human Flame, is one of the two overarching antagonists alongside (Darkseid) of DC's Absolute Universe comic book series, Absolute Martian Manhunter.
He is a suicide bomber responsible for exploding the coffe shop John Johnes was at, nearly killing him but also leading to him being saved by and meeting the Martian, kickstarting the events of the series. He is based on his original comics counterpart.
Biography[]
At the start of the story, Mike straps himself with explosives and suicide bombs a coffe shop. The explosion kills most of the present, with the exception of FBI Agent John Johnes, due to outside interference by the Martian.
As John investigates to find out more about the bomber, Miller's friends and family all say there was no viable motive for him to blow up, nor did he have the profile of a bomber. His mother reveals he was a good boy, though was devastated by the loss of his father. As John reads the mind of Miller's best friend, it is revealed they had a one night stand that they swore to never bring up again.
Later, during The White Martian's heat wave, Miller's actions inspire a trio of suicide bombers to systematically destroy Middleton's energy network, unknowingly setting stage for the next step of White's plans.

- Though he doesn't use the name officially, Miller's supervillain name in the mainstream comics is referenced when a report of the bombing describes him as a "human flame".
