Hunch is the secondary antagonist of Rock-A-Doodle. He was the Grand Duke's nephew who is much smaller than he is and is not very bright, the Duke openly hates him and constantly abuses him and turns him into various creatures throughout the movie.

He was voiced by the late Charles Nelson Reilly, who previously voiced Killer in All Dogs Go to Heaven, King Llort in A Troll in Central Park, and The Dirty Bubble in SpongeBob SquarePants.

Hunch attempts to kill the heroes at several points, but is always foiled. In his first attempt, he bands together a bunch of owls and chases Edmond, Patou, Snipes, and Peepers down a river the flood has created and he and the rest of the owls crash into a tunnel. They are swept down and we only see Hunch get back up and we don't know if the others he brought with him survived. He figured that Edmond and the rest would die anyway because they went down an aqueduct pipe, which, due to his poor eyesight, he reads as "adequate pipe." After he reports this to the Grand Duke, he angrily tells him what the sign really said and that the heroes are likely headed to the city to find Chanticleer. He then punishes him.

During his second attempt, he chases Edmond, Patou, Snipes, Peepers, and Goldie around Chanticleer's trailer after he became a celebrity, attempting to kill them with a pocketknife. He ends up being defeated when he gets hit by an ironing board.

Near the end, the Grand Duke is shrunken by Chanticleer's magic crow and Hunch chases him with a flyswatter, likely out of revenge for all of his prior abuse.
