~ Hurtado and Aguilar

Hurtado & Aguilar are minor antagonists in La Leyenda del Chupacabras.

They are two soldiers who form part of Royalist Army, known for their love of stealing belongings that they confiscate from those they execute, form part of Torreblanca battalion that guarded the royal road.

They are voiced by Germán Fabregat (Aguilar) and Andrés Campos (Hurtado).

Biography[]

The two soldiers were in the camp waiting for some new report on the "independence war". When the rest of the squad arrived with several prisoners, Aguilar would be in charge of driving Merolick's wagon when it reached the monastery, and, Hurtado, who laughed maliciously to steal everything that is inside, would take care of it from behind.

While the insurgents were inside their cells, Hurtado and Aguilar stayed outside the monastery to stand guard, talking about what they would take when the prisoners were shot tomorrow and how cruel it would be to include the child. When they finish speaking they hear some peculiar sounds behind some bushes, turning out to be a harmless goat that had given them a strong scare. Angry, Hurtado left his place to take a break, leaving only Aguilar to stand guard.

Falling asleep briefly Aguilar is awakened by some strange shrieks that came from the monastery, entering carefully. After seeing a mysterious figure in which the soldier mistakes her for a priest, he was shocked to see some monstrous creatures inside Merolick's chariot. The creature from the darkness threw itself at Aguilar and attacked him until his body was dry without blood. Right there, Hurtado saw his companion dead next to that creature, suffering the same fate.
