Hwang Kyung-il (In Korean: 황경일, Hwang Kyung-il) is a minor antagonist in Season 1 of the 2017-2021 South Korean crime thriller drama series Voice. He is a snuff film maker who runs a site called Huntingman, rapes several women, and shoots and uploads the videos. He is a criminal with hatred for women after his mother's affair. Also, he is usually active as a school teacher. He was initially thought to be the serial killer behind the death of Moo Jin-hyuk's wife and Kang Kwon-joo's father but it is turned out he is the witness of the real killer, Moe Te Gu.
He was portrayed by Lee Joo-seung.

Hwang Kyung-il is a misogynistic, greedy and petty pervert. He has distorted views of women simply because his mother was having an affair with another man, and started hating women when he was in middle school.
He was bullied at school because of rumors about his mother, who neglected his family and flirted with the men in the neighborhood. Thanks to the teacher, Kyung-il was barely enduring the bullying school life, but one day, he was shocked to see his homeroom teacher, whom he believed was the only one on his side, having an affair with his mother at school.
Biography[]
In the past, he was bullied at school because of rumors about his mother being promiscuous and neglectful of him and his sick father. At first, he thought that the rumors that his mother had an affair with a man were just false facts and she just pretended to be promiscuous around men to sell insurance, and he relied on his mother, and he had the will of his homeroom teacher who gave him a camera and treated him kindly. However, when his homeroom teacher, who he believed was the only one on his side, was having an affair with his mother in school, his trust in his mother was shattered. He developed a hatred for women and finally snaped enough that he brutally incinerated his mother in a house fire.
And the homeroom teacher who had an affair with his mother was Eun-byul's father. What's more, Eun-byul's family collapsed because of this. A father who was kicked out of school due to an affair, a mother who left this family behind, and an elderly grandmother and a nosebleed Eun-byul were all that was left. Because of this, he thought that he would get revenge on Park Eun-byul, so he became Park Eun-byul's boyfriend and made a plan to get revenge.
He kidnapped Eun-byul and tried to film a snuff film of raping Park Eun-byul in a closed middle school and upload it to the Hunting Man site, but Bong-gil Woo, an accomplice, suddenly began to threaten him for the income he had filmed. He stabbed him and killed him.
And he even rolled a fire extinguisher in the hallway to prevent Kwon-joo from tracking the sound when Jin-hyuk and Kwon-joo arrived at the closed middle school. He saw that Kwon-joo was trying to make him lose his reason by making him excited, and he struggled with Jin-hyuk and Kwon-joo by showing a very detailed appearance, such as installing explosives in advance at the school and threatening to explode. In the end, however, Jin-hyuk gets caught and is driven to the rooftop. When the detonator that can manipulate explosives was taken away, Jin Hyuk threatened him with a dropped gun, but he was rather dragged into Jin Hyuk's pace by being criticized by Jin Hyuk, and was eventually arrested after being robbed and overpowered by Jin Hyuk.
Also, Hwang Kyung-il had seen a serial killer who caused the Eun Hyeong-dong murder case, and thanks to this, he was given an important role in uncovering the truth about the Eun Hyung-dong murder case. However, while he was taken away from the police car, the police car ran out of gas and he decided to plan his escape. He went to the restroom of the gas station on the excuse that he was sick and tried to escape through the window with the handcuffs key, but he was burned and killed by Nam Sang-tae, who hid in the bathroom.
Kang Kwon-joo suspects the police captain of involving in his death after she realizes that the police car fuel lines have been sabotaged and someone deliberately silent Kyung-il. Her suspicious is proven correct as the police captain is in fact in cohort with Nam Sang-tae.
