The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen is a hyakunin isshu-based Jamenshi of Dark Empire Yodonheim, who's dark energy was used to release Heian-kyō Basra. He's also one of the two antagonist (the other is a Heian-kyo Basra) in episode 9 of 2020 TV series called Mashin Sentai Kiramager.
He is voiced by Yōji Ueda who previously voiced Shaidos from 2017 TV series called Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.
History[]
The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen made its first appearance as he placed his poem cards on all of the civilian's heads however this didn't went unnoticed when the Kiramager spotted him while on a jog. So with that said the team transformed and were about to battle him until he challenges them to a game with the human lives at stake.
After the intro Hyakunin Isshu begins reading the poem as the team has to find out which one matches to the card that he's reading once the card that he read is finished the ones that are latched onto the people's head will explode. However when he accused Sena of being a fault this made her to recall a flashback that she has when battling against her cousin in karuta.
After that Hyakunin Isshu began reading the next poem so Sion hurried to find the card that matches it, but she is now concerned on which is one is the right one. After that Shiguru knocks the cards out of the Jamen's clutches as the rest of the team opens fire on it thus freeing the civilians. After that he challenges the two girls tomorrow and then left the scene.
A while later during a training session Hyakunin Isshu Jamen burst in and challenge all of the civilians including the kiramagers to a game as this goes on everyone that lost to him will be part of the cards on his head and this time Galza will be the one to do the reading.
Once her friend has convinced Sena that she'd just want to avoid her she'd regained her confidence and challenged Hyakunin Isshu Jamen to a match. After that he lost to the supersonic princess in this match thus releasing the participants that lost against this Jamen. After that the team transformed and with a bit of karuta to their intro they then battle the Jamen. After that he was then destroyed by this finisher called Kiramai Rush Stream.
Personality[]
The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen was a very playful and energetic Jamenshi who even outright ignored the arrival of Juru, Sena, and Tametomo in favour of tormenting random people. He also loved to toy and play games with his victim's to the point that he started playing even when the Kiramagers showed up. However, his undoing came because Sena's childhood experiences allowed her to sabotage his schemes and undo his plans.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Hyakunin Isshu Knowledge-The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen showed significant knowledge of the Hyakunin Isshu and it's contents throughout his appearance.
- Karuta Card Bomb Projection: The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen could fire Hyakunin Isshu Poem Cards that stuck onto his victims' foreheads. If an opponent didn't remove the correct card from the victims' foreheads before he finished the verse associated with the card, the card would explode.
- Hyakunin Isshu Trapping: If an opponent lost to Hyakunin Isshu Jamen, the Hyakunin Isshu Jamen could trap them within the Hyakunin Isshu cards on his head by smothering them with dark purple Yodon energy. If his opponent won, any victims he previously trapped will be released from the cards.
- Durability-The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen took point blank blasts from the Kiramai Shots and blocked the Kiramai Swords with his bare arms but was unfazed.
- Agility-The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen was quick and agile enough to dodge and jump away from two slashes and a swing kick from Sena and her Kiramai Sword.

- Knowledge of the Hyakunin Isshu-Anyone with extensive knowledge of the Hyakunin Isshu could identify one of his cards and undo his efforts.
- Losing-If his opponent won a game, any victims he previously trapped will be released from the cards on his head.

- Like Digital Camera Jamen, Hyakunin Isshu Jamen's is also reused from the unseen bodysuit of Neanderthal Jamen.
- He resembles Uden/Saden from the previous season in 2019.
- His power of detonating something for wrong answers in a word-related challenge makes him similar to the Fast-Talking Player monster from 1993 TV series called Gosei Sentai Dairanger.
- The Hyakunin Isshu Jamen was the first karuta-themed Sentai Monster since Yokai Fudagaeshi from 2015 TV series called Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.
- Hyakunin Isshu Jamen's Hyakunin Isshu Trapping ability made him similar to Dora Boogaranan from 1992 TV series called Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and Pot Taoist who was also Dairanger.
