Hydranoid is a major antagonist in Bakugan Battle Brawlers. He is the signature Bakugan of Masquerade, and it enjoys sending its foes to the Doom Dimension to devour them.

Appearance

Hydranoid is a draconic, bipedal monster that has a purple underside and a black top, with a multitude of pink spikes across its body. Hydranoid also has red eyes, sharp teeth, a multitude of horns on its head, a long neck, purple claws and underarm spikes, large draconic feet, and large barbed tail.

Personality

Hydranoid is a cruel merciless Bakugan who obeys Masquerade entirely. It has no problem disposing of Bakugan he finds weak and will do whatever it takes to get the infinty core. However, once it serves Alice, Hydranoid becomes far kinder while remaining loyal.

Biography

Bakugan Battle Brawlers

Hydranoid first appeared when Maquerade and Shun fought Dan Kuso. Here, he tells Dan how he is one of the most powerful Bakugan ever. Drago tries to attacks him, but his fire has no effect. Reaper proceeds to attack, but Hydranoid betrays the Bakugan and sends him to the Doom Dimension. Eventually, though Shun's betrayal against Hydranoid and Drago putting fire directly in his mouth, Masquerade loses.

Hydranoid later makes a cameo on Masquerade's TV, where he tells Runo and Marucho how he will be the ultimate Bakugan.

Later, Hydranoid battles battles Fortress, Tentaclear, Harpus, Cycloid, and Sirenoid after they all break free from their brainwashing and wins against them all, thus causing him to evolve into Dual Hydranoid.

Dual Hydranoid faces off against Deleta Dragnoid, and through his regenerating heads and Masquerade's trickery, Hydranoid wins and sends Drago to the Doom Dimension. He later fights Skyress, Tigrerra Preyas, and Gorem, beating them although they lose on purpose to help Drago in the Doom Dimension.

While the Brawlers are in the Doom Dimension, Hydranoid battles Wavern to get the Infinity Core, but fails to beat her.

After learning from Hal-G how to get to the Doom Dimension, Masquerade and Hydroid go to the Doom Dimension and meet Extrdra, who battles with Alusanre Alice as his battler. Hydranoid wins, and shortly after, evolves into Alpha Hydroid.

Alpha Hydrnoid faces off against Drago now an ultimate dragnoid in a final battle. The fight is intense and after many draws Drago wins after putting fire in his mouth thus causing him and his master to see brawling in a new light.

Masquerade and Hydrnoid later enter the Pryus-Darkus world to save Dan and Drago from Centorrior and Druman. Hydranoid gets hit by Druman's attack, causing him to fall. However, thanks to his wings, he survived the fall. Hydranoid defeated Centior with the Darkus long range attack and following the battle, Masquerade disappears and Hydranoid becomes Alice's Bakugan.

Back on Earth, Hydrnoid teams up with Juggernoid to fight Rabeeder. They struggle against her Hoas abilities and when she gets mad that Tricloid was assumingly killed. However, they recive help from Klaus von Hertzon and Sirnoid. Hydrnoid gets turned into a statue and is almost beat until he manages to defeats the copies of Rabeeder.

He then joins the heroes to beat his former boss Naga once and for all. He gives Drago his strength which he uses to kill Naga and get rid of Hal-G. When the battle was over, Hydranoid says goodbye to Alice and returned to New Vestroia.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia

Later on, it is revealed that Hydranoid sparked the flames of the Resistance to fight against the Vexos, and his capture and torture by Professor Clay is what inspired Spectra Phantom and Hyper Dragonoid to form Vexos. Later turned into a statue by Prince Hydron, he is eventually freed from his prison during the battle between Helios and Drago, returns to Alice, and later aids in the fight against Shadow Prove, destroying his mechanical doppleganger, Hades although him and Chan lees fortress lose to MAC Spider. After King Zenoheld's defeat, he returns to New Vestroia.

Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge

In Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge, Hydranoid appears with an army of Bakugan fighting Coredegon, Slycerak, Exostriker, and Mandibor. Although originally he was killed, he later is revived.

• Since he evolved, Alpha Hydranoid has not won a battle directly between him and another opponent, although he has won fights with multiple foes since his evolution.
• He was the first of Drago's main rivals to redeem.
• Similar to Rubanoid, he has had two masters with both their current masters being good guys.
