Hyou Doubler (ヒョウダブラー Hyō Daburā, lit. Leopard Doubler) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 17. He was a leopard-like Doubler. In order to defeat and kill Gavan, he took his human guise as Go Daidoji (大条寺豪 Daidōji Gō) to get closer to Mimi so Retsu would be lured into Makuu's trap.
He was portrayed and voiced by Shinji Todo, who also portrayed as General Hedrer in Denshi Sentai Denziman and Gozo Kirihara in Choujinki Metalder.
Biography[]
While pursuing a criminal on a motorcycle, a police officer named Go Daidoji first encountered with Gavan's assistant and love interest Mimi, who injured her leg after she got hit by the criminal while she's going out shopping. However, Mimi was eventually smitten with him, much to Gavan's confusion. While doing his job, Go was eventually captured by Makuu and is taken to the Safari Park in order to lure Retsu into their trap where he was trapped inside a car that drives uncontrollably and he will explode in 30 minutes.
However, Retsu eventually managed to survive from the explosion and finally reached to the Safari Park where he founds Go lying on the ground. After Retsu helping him get up, Go then proceed to punch him in the face and reveals his true nature to him, causing them to fight which led to his true form being exposed. After Retsu transformed into Gavan, they later continued to fight until they were dragged into Makuu Space. The Doubler and the Makuu fighters proceed to shoot Gavan while he's in Cyberion, which he prompts to call upon Dol to destroy them. While fighting, the Doubler went to attack Gavan with a double-sided bear trap staff, but only for Gavan to finish him off with Gavan Dynamic.
