Iblis is a minor antagonist in the Sonic Cinematic Universe series Knuckles. He is a fire demon who Knuckles fought in the past for the control over the Flames of Disaster.
His voice actor is unknown.
Biography[]
After Knuckles' tribe perished in the fight with Longclaw the Giant Owl, he was left the last of his kind, and sought to find the Flames of Disaster and tame their power. Eventually, he came across Iblis and fought him, ultimately unlocking the Flames of Disaster and defeating the demon.
Legacy[]
When Wade Whipple got captured by Jack Sinclair, he was transported to the Great Battleground in the Sky, where Pachacamac told him the story of Knuckles' fight against Iblis in the form of a low-budget rock opera starring Wade, with Iblis being portrayed by a puppet. Wade learned that true strength lies in a warrior's heart and used this lesson to break free of the cage holding him.
Personality[]
Nothing is known about the "real" Iblis' character, but his portrayal in Wade's fantasy depicts him as a sadistic and arrogant monster who taunts his opponents and threatens them with a gruesome death, all while nonchalantly talking about his plans to shop on Facebook Marketplace.
Trivia[]
- Iblis' name was only mentioned in the third film's novelization, likely due to its religious origins. He is also named and designed after the same character from the games.
