Icarus is a villain in Matt Hatter Chronicles. An alternate take on the mythological character of the same name, he is a minion of Lord Tenoroc.
Biography[]
Season 4[]
On Wings of Doom[]
Bacchus is told by some flyers of a piece of the Antimatter Blaster, a device that can capture creatures in Spatter Traps. However, Tenoroc gets wind of this and plans to repurpose it to serve him, so he sends Icarus to find the Antimatter Blaster before Roxanna and Gomez do.
Matt meets up with Roxanna and Gomez and goes with them to the pterodactyl nesting grounds, the place where the flyers found the arrow. Icarus flies there as well, shooting his sleep darts at a pterodactyl that flies at him. He attacks Matt just as the latter is flying to a cave at which Roxanna pointed. Matt tries to fight back, but Icarus uses his Sunblast Attack to blind him. Fortunately, Roxanna knocks Icarus out of the way. Unfortunately, Icarus retaliates by tearing a wing from her flyer and sending her falling. Matt swoops down to save her and sends Gomez to find the Antimatter Blaster.
Even though he doesn't see Gomez as much of a challenge, Icarus shoots at Gomez with sleep darts. One hits Gomez's arm and numbs his fingers. He goes flying out of control, but as luck will have it, he ends up flying right into the cave, where he finds the Antimatter Blaster. Matt leads Icarus to Roxanna, who then whacks Icarus with her staff. One of Icarus's wings gets too close to the lava and starts to burn, causing him to roar in anger. In frustration, Tenoroc tells Icarus to get the Antimatter Blaster.
Icarus flies after Gomez and grabs the device from him. Matt flies after Icarus, but Icarus shoots sleeping darts at Matt's flyer, and it stops working. However, Icarus's triumph is soon short-lived when Gomez rides on Eunice and grabs the Antimatter Blaster back. Unfortunately, Icarus uses his Sunblast Attack on Gomez and steals the Antimatter Blaster again. Fortunately, Matt flies up to Icarus using his jet boots, grabs him, and (taking cues from the legend) flies him up to the sun. Icarus's wings start to burn, enabling Matt to capture him.
Powers and Abilities[]
Icarus has the power of flight, much like his namesake. He can also shoot his thorns at his enemies and blind them with a Sunblast Attack.
Weaknesses[]
Like his namesake, Icarus's wings burn if they get too close to the sun.
