Ichijiku Kadenokoji is a major antagonist of the Japanese multimedia franchise, Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle. She is the Deputy Prime Minister of Japan, second in command to Otome Tohoten.
She was voiced by Chiaki Takahashi in Japanese, who also voiced Arfoire in Hyperdimension Neptunia.
Biography[]
Ichijiku was once a news reporter tasked with investigating an unnamed corrupt male politician. The politician had previously arranged the murder of Ichijiku's colleague as well the colleague's entire family. After Ichijiku continued the investigation, the politician had her younger sister, Natsume, kidnapped and murdered.
While mourning Natsume's death, Ichijiku was then confronted by the female politician, Otome Tohoten (who had previously shared her misandristic views to Ichijiku in an interview), who comforted and recruited Ichijiku to join her political party, the Party of Words. The incident has caused Ichijiku to form a deep hatred towards men.
Later on, the Party of Words would overthrow the patriarchal government and seize power, banning the use of all lethal weapons, replacing them with Hypnosis Mics, special microphones that have the unique ability to affect a person's nervous system through rapping.
Over the span of three years, the Party of Words would establish Division Rap Battles, where hip hop groups representing a division of Japan would engage in rap battles against each other in exchange for money and terrority.
Ichijiku would often interview with the divisions, sometimes against Otome's orders.
Personality[]
Due to the murder of her sister, Ichijiku is incredibly misandristic, possibly even moreso than Otome, even going as far as to try to kill several of male characters. She is even abusive towards Ramuda Amemura despite him also working for the Party of Words as well. Ichijiku believes that the world would be better off without them. Despite her ruthless and aggressive nature, she seems to care for Otome and for fellow party member, Nemu Aohitsugi, defending her when she was being harassed by another party member.
