Ikki Kasumi is an elite ninja of Ikazuchi's Way Ninja Academy and an overarching antagonist in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger. He is the father of Ikkou and Isshu Kasumi.
He was portrayed by the late Jiro Dan.
Biography[]
Ikki Kasumi was a ninja of Ikazuchi's Way Ninja Academy who did work as a mercenary, garnering an infamous reputation for the collateral damage he caused on his missions. Because of this, he was passed over as a candidate to become a Gouraiger. Ikki would later begin putting his sons through harsh training so they would have the potential to become Gouraigers in his place.
While returning from a mission in Egypt, Ikki Kasumi witnessed a meteor shower and learned of "it" from the vision he gave him. He quickly became obsessing with finding a way to invoke it and began doing more research into it. When he brought his findings to the Ikazuchi's Way Ninja Academy however they covered it up and forbid him from looking further into it. Ikki did not listen, however, and found a way to invoke "that" using his two sons, whereby one of them would have to kill the other. He continued to put them through cruel training and made preparations to invoke it, only to die before he could put his plans in motion.
Despite his death, Ikkou and Isshu would go on to become the Gouraigers and continue their quest to invoke "it", leading them to work with the Jakanja. They eventually saw the error of their ways and defected to help the Hurricanegers.
