The Imaginary Blues are the main antagonists of Animation vs. Addiction, the fifth installment of the Animation vs. Education web series.

They are the intrusive thoughts Blue thinks of that come to life to prevent him from healing from his addictions.

Appearance[]

They are a more crudely drawn replicas of Blue. They are located within thought bubbles. The most notable bubbles are one flying with the pink effect, one of them flying with the yellow effect and with all the buttons, one of them in a pile of buttons, one of them flying with the green effect, one of then flying in a unknown effect, and one of him flying in the purple effect.

Personality[]

As their names suggests, the imaginary Blues are thoughts located in Blue's mind that represent his addiction to buttons. They manipulate him into collecting more and more for his own greedy benefits, believing that they are the only source to making him feel happy. This in reality actually harms Blue in the long run, as they show Blue the different outcomes of what the buttons could possibly do to him. When the Second Coming teaches Blue to meditate and empty his mind of his addiction, the imaginary Blues attempt to allure him with false sensation of the buttons, and in the end, attempt to take him by force when they are about to disappear from his mind for good.

Biography[]

Blue comes across a pink button. He thinks of the consequences of pressing it but pressed it and gains the ability to fly. He thinks of ways to use it, until the button runs dry. He limps over to another one but he needs a stronger dose. He thinks of getting a yellow button but realizes he already went over to grab it. The cycle continues with him trying to gain a stronger dose until The Second Coming makes a intervention to stop him. They use meditation to clear the thoughts but they get more problematic each time. TSC uses a blindfold on Blue so he is relocated into his own thought. He tries punching and kicking them away. They continue to come and start to overpower him. TSC tells him to just keep meditating as it shrinks them to oblivion. A Blue from a pink effect bubble pulls him in, and Blue starts pressing the buttons again until TSC grabs him and places him back. The Blues start trying to pull him in. The pink effect Blue tries and grows in size until the bubble shrinks and kills him.
