Imogen Royce is one of the two main antagonists in the Hitman 3 mission "End of an Era".
Little is known about the prior life of Imogen Royce, due to misinformation spouted by her devoted fanbase. As the "official" story goes, Imogen Royce was the daughter of western diplomats living in Hong Kong. Bullied relentlessly in school, young Imogen snapped and was institutionalized at a mental hospital, where experiments were conducted on her. After her parents were killed in an accident, she was kicked out of the institution at the young age of fourteen.
Royce then allegedly escaped to Shanghai, where she became obsessed with machines, computers, and the "machine-state". Going online, she released videos detailing her body modification efforts and gained substantial financial backing and a cult like fanbase. Royce eventually gained the attention of the International Contract Agency, who recruited her into their ranks. She was swiftly promoted to the analyst division, where she pioneered her prediction algorithm.
During the events of "End of an Era", she can be seen in an underground facility where the ICA keep all of their archives. Agent 47 arrives and assassinates her through a player-determined method.
Imogen Royce is driven by her obsession with knowledge, coldly manipulating and controlling people in the name of science. She has a very controlled persona, having manufactured her personality nearly as much as her body. She is very analytical, astute, and intelligent, being able to correctly predict and solve advanced problems and formulas, with her strength being psychology.
She lacks the sadism of Hush, but is almost as dangerous, with her ruthlessness and lack of empathy driving her to do terrible things if she believes it will obtain her knowledge. She has outward charm and is polite to her equals, while willing to abuse her subordinates soon afterwards.
- Imogen Royce's backstory is highly implied to be false, as it comes off as overly tragic and makes no mention of her gaining a formal education.
