Biography[]
The Impostor Captain Tennille was a mercenary hired by Dio Brando to kill the Stardust Crusaders. After hearing that the group was taking a ship hired by the Speedwagon Foundation, he killed the ship's captain and took his place on the ship. His intention was to kill each member of the group one by one, by luring them into the water where his stand Dark Blue Moon could easily dispose of them.
The impostor's plans are foiled when the group discovered a child named Anne stowed away on the ship. Anne tries to escape from the crew by jumping into the water and swimming back to shore, but discovers the water is full of sharks. Jotaro dives in to save her, punching the shark and driving it away. Suddenly, Dark Blue Moon appears, slicing the shark in half before going for Jotaro, but Jotaro manages to get himself and Anne back to safety.
As the group discuss the possibility that Anne is the stand user, the Impostor Captain Tennille appears, grabbing Anne and threatening to kill her for stowing away on the boat. Seeing Jotaro light up a cigarette, the Captain plucks it from his mouth and extinguishes the cigarette on Jotaro's hat, scolding him and asking if he intended to throw the cigarette into the ocean when he was done. Jotaro tells the Impostor Captain off, and accuses him of being the stand user. Jotaro says that he's realized stand users can be determined by a vein the pops up on the tip of their nose when they smell cigarette smoke. Though Jotaro says he's only joking, the Impostor reveals himself by covering his nose, exposing the fact that he's a stand user.
Having been unmasked, he stops playing dumb and reveals himself, taking Anne hostage and jumping into the sea to attract Jotaro, however Jotaro clears the distance to the side of the ship, punches the man, and saves the girl all before the Captain can even start to fall. Jotaro starts to pull Anne up, but can't as his arm has been covered in barnacles. Heirophant Green catches Anne and pulls her back onto the ship, as Jotaro is pulled down into the sea.
Once in the sea, Impostor Captain Tenille explains that they can speak underwater using their stands before gloating about how he's already won the fight; Dark Blue Moon is unbeatable in the water, Star Platinum's energy is being drained by the special barnacles the stand put on it, and even if Jotaro can survive Dark Blue Moon's attacks, the Impostor Captain has trained to be able to hold his breath for minutes on end, allowing him to outlast Jotaro. To prevent Jotaro from swimming back to the surface, Dark Blue Moon creates a whirlpool to suck him down, while also spreading its own razor sharp scales into the vortex to attack. Impostor Captain Tennille gloats more, telling Jotaro that he might be able to attack if he can swim into the eye of the whirlpool, but that it would be pointless as Dark Blue Moon is still untouchable underwater.
However, Jotaro reveals that he had a different plan all along. He focuses all of his energy into Star Platinum's fingers, allowing them to break through the barnacles and stretch to hit Dark Blue Moon, stabbing out its two right eyes and then slicing its face open. Jotaro taunts the impostor back, saying "I was really thinking was how gross it will be when I kick your ass and you piss yourself underwater." With that, the Impostor Captain Tennille sinks into the sea and drowns.
However, as Jotaro gets back to the ship, the impostor uses his final moments to activate a series of bombs he left on the ship, sinking it and forcing the Crusaders and the crew to escape on the ship's life boats.

| ~ Impostor Captain Tennile |
Impostor Captain Tennille's stand, Dark Blue Moon, appears as a humanoid with fins and scales, and four eyes. True to its motif, all of its powers are water/sea related. It can swim incredible fast and can create whirlpools in the water by spinning its arms around. Its scales are also razor sharp, and can slice through animals and people with ease. The scales can also be launched from his body as a ranged attack. Last, Dark Blue Moon can create and control special barnacles which drain the energy from whoever they latch onto.
Impostor Captain Tenille himself has trained his lungs to be able to hold his breath without discomfort for around six minutes, so that even if an adversary can survive his stand's attacks, he can win just by keeping them under the water until they drown while he himself is fine.
