Infernus
Infernus is a one-time villain from the 2016 reboot of the Cartoon Network animated series The Powerpuff Girls, only appearing in the episode "Blossom3". He is a giant furnace robot, who destroys things and burns things down.
Biography[]
The Powerpuff Girls received a distress call from The Mayor of Townsville, warning them about an evil villain named Infernus, who is going around Townsville and destroying things. Blossom implied that Infernus was a recurring threat, when she said "Infernus is at it again." However, this was the first and only time the character of Infernus was ever seen in the show.
The Powerpuff Girls arrived on the scene, and at the time, Blossom had been cloned into three versions of herself, after her previous fight with Duplikate. Infernus was running around, destroying buildings and breathing fire all over the other buildings, causing mass destruction to The City of Townsville. Blossom and her two clones went out to fight Infernus, and they really packed a pack of punches. Bubbles and Buttercup realized that with the addition of two Powerpuff girls to their team, destroying enemies will be a cinch.
Bubbles and Buttercup boasted and bragged about how much of a beat down, they'd be giving to Infernus, but they spent a lot of time dilly-dallying, while Blossom and her two clones took him down on their own. Blossom eventually broke up their charades, and told them that while they were goofing around, she had already destroyed Infernus. Blown up bits and pieces of Infernus were then shown, scattered about on the streets of Townsville and the fire that previously bellowed inside of his tank was now reduced to ash. Whether or not he is to be considered dead now is currently ambiguous.
Appearance[]
Infernus is a gigantic bronze furnace, with long brown arms and legs protruding from his base. At the ends of his arms, he has two giant hands with sharp crab-like claws on them. On his head, he has a tube, with a funnel on top of it. On the front of his base, he has a cage that covers a burning flame inside of his body. He has the ability to open his cage, and blast a bunch of fire out of it.
Personality[]
Infernus is an incendiary and violent pyromaniac who enjoys setting things on fire and takes pleasure in the thrill of incinerating things. He is shown to be a reckless giant who goes around smashing things, blowing things up, and eating people up, like The Powerpuff Girls. Especially, he also goes around burning things down to the ground.
