| “ | When presented with the Prime Songs however, he revealed himself as Ingressus, leader of the long-forgotten and dread Voltaris Clan. Outraged, the masters refused to give Ingressus the Prime Songs, for it was due to their misuse of such power, that they had been banished long ago. That night, while the clans debated their next course of action, Ingressus set out alone to reclaim the Prime Songs. One by one, he slayed the masters of the Kaltaris, Sendaris, and Mendoris Clan. Through these dark deeds, he became known as the Deathsinger. | „ |

| “ | I cannot win this war... not now. But I will return... long after this battle is over, and I have been forgotten- when Ardonia has grown weak, and my enemies are gone, and when you are no longer there TO STOP ME! | „ |
| ~ Ingressus announcing his plan to Achillean before finally attacking him. |
Ingressus Voltaris, also known as the Deathsinger, is the main antagonist of the animated web series, Songs of War.
He is the widely feared leader of the Voltaris Clan, his brutal methods and warmongering tendencies painted him as one of the most notorious figures in Ardonian history, becoming their boogeyman. Upon being rejected the four Prime Songs, he went mad from their influence and tried to take them himself. His actions would spiral into the Great War, causing the near extinction of the Ardoni, earning him his reputation.
He is voiced by Jonathan David Bullock.
Appearance[]
He is an Ardoni who is part of the Voltaris Clan, identified by his glowing red patterns and eyes. Compared to other Ardoni from his clan, Ingressus's patterns are slightly orange around his torso. This could have resulted from disguising himself as part of the Nestoris Clan for years, where his colors were yellow opposed to red.
He is equipped with a flaming broadsword and a voltar, which can retract when not in use. His broadsword's enchantment glint is red, representing his clan.
Personality[]
| “ | Ingressus: You certainly have improved your ability to wield the Songs. I wonder... what you would have done had you been given the Primes. Achillean: The Prime Songs have always been your desire, not mine. I would have refused them, for no one should wield their combined power. Ingressus: That is what they all say... until you have felt them for yourself. |

| ~ Ingressus asking Achillean about the Prime Songs, expressing his power-hungriness. |
Ingressus is an incredible warrior, able to win the tournament held to see which Ardoni was worthy to wield the four Prime Songs. As Thalleous described, he was presistant, cunning, and powerful. Upon being rejected the Songs, he became extremely vengeful, going on a massive murdering spree in order to claim them himself, snowballing into the Great War. Spearheading that war, Ingressus displayed his powerful leadership, forging an incredibly strong alliance with the Nether. To pair with that, he is intelligent and deceptive, able to hide as a part of the Nestoris Clan for years and fake his death by dropping the four Prime Songs.
During his duel with Achillean, Ingressus reveals his desire to wield the four Prime Songs, claiming how they were rightfully his and describing how powerful they made him feel. To truly display how power-hungry he has become, finds it amusing how Achillean says he would have rejected the Prime Songs had they been given to him. He shows some respect and honour to Achillean, acknowledging that his many feats, admiring his Song wielding, and calling him his greatest adversary. It is implied that the two used to be friends, as it is implied that Achillean was the one who suggested Ingressus to join the tournament. Despite all this, he was determined to win the war at all costs, even if it meant attacking Achillean.
