Inner Willow is a minor antagonist in the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House, serving the main anti-villainous antagonist of the Season 1 episode "Understanding Willow". She is a physical manifestation of Willow's thoughts and memories that exists only in her mind.
She was voiced by Tati Gabrielle, who also played Prudence Blackwood in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Jo Braddock in Uncharted.
Biography[]
She first appeared in "Understanding Willow" where she appears as a fiery demon that destroys all of Willow's memories because of Amity accidentally burning them all with a fire spell. However, after Luz realizes that the monster is destroying only memories with Amity in them, she realizes that the monster is Inner Willow. Inner Willow reveals that she's only burning the memories of Amity because she wants to protect Willow from the pain Amity gave her back when they used to be friends. When they all go into a memory of Willow at Amity's birthday party, Inner Willow reveals that it's the memory of the day Amity broke off her friendship with Willow because she was weak.
However, Amity reveals something before the memory happened and why she broke off her friendship with Willow. She reveals to Inner Willow that she broke off her friendship with Willow because her parents forced her to because they saw Willow as a weak witch and that if she didn't they would make sure that Willow would never be admitted into Hexside. With that Amity finally apologizes to Inner Willow and decides to not let Willow be pushed around anymore.
With that, Inner Willow's flames go out and fixes all of Willow's memories, both the good and the bad.
Trivia[]
- The fact that Inner Willow tried to kill Amity could mean that subconsciously, Willow wanted to attack or even kill Amity for the bullying she had done to her.
