The Intruder is the main antagonist of the indie horror visual novel game No, I'm not a Human.
Embodying chaos, violence, and claiming to have unsettling knowledge of what lies ahead following the rising apocalypse, the intruder is an enigmatic creature whose behaviour differs greatly from the rest as he stalks the player, hoping for an opportunity to get inside their house.
Appearance[]
The Intruder has pale skin, broad shoulders and long skinny arms. He's mostly seen with a eerie grin that shows all his perfectly white teeth, which is a key feature of Visitors. He also wears nothing but dark pants. There are strange folds on his skins, making it seems like his own skin doesn't fit his body.
Biography[]
The origins of the intruder are unknown, but he's a visitor that came from underground following powerful emissions of energy from the sun, which prevented any normal human to get out of their houses during the day. According to the Intruder, he is a servant following the orders of a worse source of power.
He first appears outside the protagonist’s house on the third night. He stalks the protagonist’s home, having already killed a group of teenagers nearby. On the fourth night, he confronts the protagonist at the door, asking if they are alone. If the protagonist admits to being alone, the Intruder kidnaps and kills them. However, if guests are present, he lets them be, warning ominously that he will return in the future when the Protagonist has no guests.
On subsequent nights, the Intruder is seen carrying the severed head of a soldier, indicating he has killed an entire military unit nearby. He briefly returns on the sixth night, again asking about the protagonist’s company and hinting at an apocalyptic future where "dogs rule the world."
He reappears on the ninth night making ominous statements about "change" happening around them. He then hints that he is only following orders and there are worse things in the world than change before leaving. On night eleven, he returns one final time to relay a message that the end is coming "either by our hand or your own." He asks if the protagonist fears death and if they've let any Visitors in before leaving.
Ending[]
At any point when the Intruder returns, if the Protagonist has no guests, or answers "I'm alone," The Intruder will break down the door and kill the Protagonist. If the Protagonist is not alone during the Intruder's final encounter, he will leave the area, never to return, leaving his fate a mystery.
Personality[]
The Intruder is a creature defined by cruelty, manipulation, and a chilling sense of amusement in the suffering of others. He exudes an aura of calm menace, speaking in a way that is almost conversational, yet every word carries a threat. He is sadistic and patient, preferring to toy with his victims rather than strike immediately, savoring the fear and paranoia that grow inside them. He also seems to enjoy his victims fighting back as he seems excited if the protagonist threatens him with a gun.
His personality is marked by a twisted fascination with loneliness, often targeting those who are isolated and exploiting their vulnerability. He thrives on psychological torment, using his intelligence and eerie charisma to unsettle and disarm before unleashing violence. Despite his violent nature, he shows a strange kind of sophistication, weaving cryptic statements about apocalypse and destiny that make him appear less like a simple killer and more like a prophet of doom.
He embodies unpredictability, alternating between dark humor and brutal honesty, which keeps his victims off balance. The Intruder is both predator and tormentor, who treats each encounter as a macabre game where terror is the main prize.
