The Intruders are the main antagonists of the 2017 video game Megaton Rainfall.
They're an army of alien invaders seeking to exterminate the human race, in order to save themselves from being erased in the Signer's universal culling of unworthy life.
Abilities[]
The Intruders' technology is incredibly advanced by human standards, with each unit capable of effortlessly circling the Earth in seconds and matching the protagonist's speed as well as completely changing shape and camouflaging, among other abilities. They're also intelligent enough that they stole and harnessed the power of Xenospheres, an energy source the Signer said to be incomprehensible by design.
The most powerful ships are capable of wiping out a city with a single blast or even cutting through the Earth with a giant laser, though none of their weapons are powerful enough to harm the protagonist in any way.
History[]
Details about the intruders' civilization are almost entirely unclear, only that they have highly advanced technology and somehow obtained knowledge of the Signer's existence and his plan for the universe. No matter where or how far the player flies, it's impossible to find the intruders' home planet.
In order to ensure their own survival against the universe's only other intelligent civilization, humanity, the intruders planned to launch an invasion and eradicate them. They used a mysterious power to hide the existence of Earth from the Signer, stole and harnessed the power of the Xenospheres and used them to travel to Earth from their world an unfathomable distance away.
After a series of attacks on human cities thwarted by the Signer's offspring, the Signer proceeds with erasing all planets in the universe save for Earth, the intruders' civilization presumably erased in the process.
