Invel Yura is a minor antagonist in the anime and manga series Fairy Tail. He is a member of the Alvarez Empire and a former member the Spriggan 12, the former Emperor's chief of staff and consul, the protection guard, the right-hand wizard of Emperor Spriggan, and Gray and Juvia’s attempted killer.

He is voiced by Tomoaki Maeno in the Japanese version of the anime and by Clay Wheeler in the English version.

Personality

Invel is a very strict wizard who who is a stickler for rules and shows loyalty to Zeref. He is also shown to be arrogant, ruthless, psychopathic and bloodthirsty when it comes to dealing with opponents.

Biography

Invel is one of the four Spriggan 12 members to greet their emperor. He also appears in the meeting. During the Invasion, he stays on Zeref's side and locks the army away so that Natsu and Zeref could fight. After their fight concluded, he returns to stay on Zeref's side.

After Irene casted Universe One, he uses Ice Lock to lock up Mavis and she is unable to resist. He also appears in the big meeting of the Spriggan 12.

He later confronts Natsu's Team, freezing everyone except Gray, and he overwhelms the latter. He then locks Gray and the de-frozen Juvia with Ice Lock and forces them to fight each other until they seemingly kill themselves, which his Ice Lock spell ends up becoming unsuccessful.

Then he plans to meet Brandish, but is confronted by a very angry Gray who overwhelms him even when the Spriggan 12 mage uses his ice armor and defeats him. After his defeat, Invel reveals E.N.D.'s true identity: Etherious Natsu Dragneel. He soon told Gray in a cold manner that Zeref's demons were created to destroy Zeref and that E.N.D was the most powerful creation, as well as Zeref's own younger brother.

When Fiore channels their might to seal Acnologia, Invel is shown to still be lying on the ground.

100 Years Quest

A year later, Invel was imprisoned for trying to wage another war.
