Dr. Irene Corts is the main antagonist of Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Battles. She was a scientist working on Isla Sorna, that after the incident, decided only the strong may live, and wants to purge the Earth of weak beings.
She was voiced by Kath Soucie, who also voiced Morgana Macawber in Darkwing Duck, The Master in Fallout, Mary Ann Smith and Julie Smith in The Powerpuff Girls, Michelle in Futurama, Jason Hightower in Totally Spies, Shock in the Kingdom Hearts series, the Lunch Lady Ghost in Danny Phantom, Beverly Jones in All Grown Up!, Madison Wolfsbottom in Clifford's Really Big Movie, Ginger and Taro in The Hiro's, Charlotte the Babysitter in Drawn Together, Nerissa in W.I.T.C.H., Professor Hinkle in The Legend of Frosty the Snowman, Erzsebet Ondrushko in Hellboy: Blood and Iron, Maketh Tua in Star Wars Rebels, Claudette Dupri in New Looney Tunes and Peej in OK K.O.! History[]
Corts was working as a chief scientist and Embryologist working on Isla Sorna, and was considered one of the best dinosaur cloners of all-time. However, after some time, she started experimenting on dinosaur and human DNA by mixing them and creating superhumans. She hid them from the other people on the island, and tortured them while trying to make more. After the Isla Sorna incident, Corts decides that only strong creatures can live, and tries to control nature like a god. After the Spinosaurus ran away from the fire, Corts used a device called the Dino-Voc to brainwash it, and she took control over it.
She then put her only three superhumans on the island and altered their IQs. The first one was very dumb and lived with poor hygiene. The second was decent and knows how to take care of himself. The third was wearing a lab coat and was a genius. Sometime later, children showed up to the island, and Corts didn't like that, so she used her superhumans and control over the dinosaurs to fight and attempt to murder them. After turning the clones against her, Corts threatened them, and lured them to the maze.
She then got her Spinosaurus to fight and try to murder the children and their dinosaurs. She then reveals her motivations: Only the strong can live, and the weak must die. She then attempted to use dinosaurs to kill every weakling on Earth, but got defeated before she could go further. She then runs away, and when help comes, they leave her on the island, where she was presumably eaten by her own Spinosaurus.

- Corts is the first canon female human antagonist, followed by Dr. Laura Sorkin, Sammy Gutierrez, Tiff, & Soyona Santos.
- However, according to the timeline, Sorkin came first in 1993, and Irene is second in 2001, assuming her game is canon.
- However, unlike Sammy and Sorkin, and similarly to Tiff and Soyona, Irene is truly malicious, as Sammy was a hero that was forced to spy for a villain, and Sorkin was a villain by proxy.
- Irene is very similar to Lewis Dodgson, as both are heavily morally corrupted, operate on a similar plainfield, and both have plans that could end with the end of humanity.
