The Iron Soldier is an ancient robot that was awakened by the Super Science Network and an antagonist in Tokusou Robo Janperson.
Biography[]
The Iron Soldier was one of many robots created in the ancient past by a technologically advanced civilization to protect it from invaders. However, the remote controls for the Iron Soldier and his kin eventually fell into evil hands which used them for malicious purposes, eventually bringing the civilization to ruin. At some point, the Iron Soldier was sealed away inside a tomb alongside with its remote control.
In the present day, the Super Science Network uncovered evidence of the ancient civilization and sought to obtain the Iron Soldier for themselves, believing Janperson was also a part of the same civilization he came from. They hired the mercenary Osaki to steal Yukari's research into the civilization, but he was stopped by Janperson and Yukari became possessed by Meirin, whose soul was in one of the artifacts from the civilization Yukari had excavated.
Osaki was nevertheless able to locate the Iron Soldier's tomb before Janperson and Meirin, and inadvertently awakened it when he attempted to use the Iron Soldier's control on Janperson. The Iron Soldier vaporized Osaki and his goons before turning his attention to Janperson and Meirin. The Iron Soldier attacked Janperson, but Janperson was able to fight it off and buy time for Meirin and Takaido to escape while the tomb collapsed around them. After Janperson destroyed the Iron Soldier, the priestess of the ancient civilization left Yukari's body, satisfied that her mission had been completed now that the Iron Soldier was no longer a threat.
