Iruma's parents are minor antagonists in the anime and manga Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun. They are the people who are responsible for selling Iruma's soul to the Underworld demon Sulivan.
Biography[]
The early life of Iruma's parents is unknown. By the time when Iruma already learned how to walk and talk, his parents already wanted him to work and support the family because they were lazy specifically his father who took him on a fishing trip and proceeded to use him as bait for tuna. He was only a year old when he was told to basically stand on his own showing how careless his parents were. Iruma was forced to give in hoping perhaps it would earn their approval or love it never did. His obedience was an attempt to earn approval which was only made so due to the years of abuse he suffered under their neglectful ways.
Unfortunately all Iruma wanted was his parents praise and perhaps their unconditional love but it seems that neither of his parents cared about his well being, much less saw him as anything short of a means to get whatever they wanted. Which most often involved him getting into all sorts of trouble because of their own apparent stupidity, unwillingness to be reasonable or responsible adults. Prefering to try and use easier methods of gaining wealth now they had a child despite the fact that legally in Japan anyone under the age of 15 cannot legally work, making the fact they forced a child under the age of fifteen to break these labor laws (as well as those shady enough to hire a child is suspect and if found guilty of such could very well be fined for such) long hours most likely even worse. These dangerous situations meant that Iruma oercame each trial because of how stupid and careless his parents were in their attempts to gain wealth very illegally.
They instead were all the more willing to work their only child to death up until they found the means of summoning a demon specifically: Sullivan. Who in exchange for Iruma Suzuki gave them a undisclosed amount of money. Enough for an expensive wine case of Dom Pérignon.
Villainous Actions[]
- Have forced Iruma to attend multiple part-time jobs.
- Ensured that Iruma was completely subservent to others asking nicely with three praises: "Please", "Help", and "I beg you"
- All but ensured he had no friends in the human realm or attended school often due to their actions forcing the boy to work instead of going to school
- The legal age for part time work in Japan is 15, and they are in school full time the most said person can work is 8 hours we are assuming said work that Iruma has done was always illegal and shady for this reason alone. As Iruma was 14 when he was sold to Sullivan.
- Never treated Iruma as a family at all, and constantly manipulated the boy to do their house chores, and help them get whatever they wanted.
- Have made him participate in criminal activities in regards to the Yakuza and other dangerous criminals
- Have forced Iruma to survive all alone in the woods where he almost lost his life to the wildernesses animals and extreme temperatures
- Sold Iruma's soul to the devil because they found out how easy it was to get money from a deal made with a demon and get rid of Iruma once and for all
Personality[]
Based on the manga, it is noted that Iruma's parents at the first glance are pacifist, soft-spoken, kind-hearted, and very supportive to Iruma. However, in reality, they are a bunch of irresponsible, lazy, greedy, manipulative, abusive, selfish, and cowardly parents who cares very little about Iruma, they only view him as a slave and an expendable tool to serve them for the rest of their lives, and to always gain his favor, they must put on the act of being kind so Iruma would easily follow their orders. Even ignoring him when he stands up to their illusion created by Orobas Coco its implied that they would do so anyway even if he did object to any of their crazy ideas. Its also implied that both of his parents are fond of get rich quick schemes and will do anything to gain greater wealth by any means possible.
Its also implied by Iruma in the same scene that the two would be the ones who would somehow manage to make it into the underworld if only to further their own schemes for great wealth. Dragging their son along on their travels if only to get him to do whatever they wished and saying whatever was needed to get him to obey no matter how deadly or dangerous it was. They are implied to have gone so-far to even kick Iruma out of their house, force him to survive in the jungle all alone where he almost lost his life to a wild bear, and its implied he nearly froze to death which likely would have been his fate if he didn't fix a device he found which helped him survive. The reason behind him being kicked out of the house is unknown but implied to be negative in nature. Its quite obvious that they didn't care for the responsibility of caring for a child likewise their memory would torment Iruma during the Harvest Festival.
Iruma's parents are known to be also outwardly calm, have a jolly expression when it comes to manipulating Iruma into doing whatever they asked due to their manupulative treatment of him since he was very young, which he always falls for because he's literally incapable of saying no due to the level of abuse and neglect he endured because of them. They also appear to even disregard Iruma's physical condition specifically his personal health and feeding him which led to his gluttony later which is a direct aftermath of his abuse being denied regular meals which have more nutrition than boiled grass. Disregarding Iruma's attempts to earn their praise, approval and love with calmness and with the same breath of their praise in calling him a good boy before asking him to do the chores around the house.
They are probably the most careless, selfish, sociopathic, reckless and vile excuses for parents who use their child as a means to an end, both of his parents as a result are considered monsterously depraved because of this. With little to no regard for the well being of their son no matter what he did to attempt to gain their approval.
Appearance[]
Iruma's parents have the same hair color, his father has short deep blue sea hair, while his mother has long deep blue sea hair. Their facial features are not remembered by Iruma during any of their encounters.
