Iskahn is a supporting antagonist turned antihero in the second half of the Alicization arc of Sword Art Online, known as the "War of the Underworld" sub-arc. He is the Tenth Champion and leader of the Pugilists Guild, as well as a member of the Ten Lords Assembly that controlled the Dark Territory.
He was voiced by Taku Yashiro in Japanese and Khoi Dao in English.
Biography[]
Iskhan was born into a tribe of Pugilists, a group of humans who were devoted to the pursuit of strengthening the human body. Due to this, Iskhan was trained from a young age to be physically powerful, reaching the point where he could snap through blades as if they were twigs with his bare hands.
During the war against the Human Empire, Iskahn's Pugilist Guild was called to breach the human empire's defenses. Forced to go onto ropes by Vecta, Iskahn's men die by the dozens as they slip off the ropes. Due to the "Rule of the Strongest", Iskahn cannot defy his superior's orders. However, seeing his men fall to their deaths, Iskahn decides to get into the Human Empire's defenses by leaping across the abyss and having his men throw a giant boulder to further propel him, exploiting a loophole that says he only cannot use the ropes to break the Human Empire's defenses.
Enraged at his men not dying at the hands of Scheta Synthesis Twelve in their fights against her, instead of being left maimed by her, Iskahn challenges her to a duel. As the summoned players from the US slaughter the Underworlders, Iskahn and his men form an alliance with the Human Empire due to the lack of orders against the foreign players.
By the war's end, Iskahn is left as one of the few surviving Dark Territory Lords, becoming the new Supreme Commander of the Dark Territory and forging a peace treaty with the human realm.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Pugilist Incarnation physiology: As a Pugilist, Iskahn was taught to use his Incarnation to will his skin to be so hard that it can resist being cut by blades. Iskahn as the Pugilist champion has the toughest skin of all, with him being able to resist even the super shard blade of Sheyta when all his other fellow Pugilists were cut by her.
- Master hand-to-hand combatant: As the champion pugilist, Iskahn is a master of martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, being able to equal Sheyta and Kirito in battle.
