Isra is a minor antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic III. She was a lich death knight, one of the commanders of Deyja's armies.

Biography[]

Almost nothing is known about Isra's past, except that she was a lich with magical powers, but not powerful enough to become a necromancer. Therefore, she became a member of the Death Knights and a commander of Deyja's armies. She first appeared when she and a vampire, Thant, were guarding the territory of a notorious vampire lord, Vokial. However, an elf warrior, Gelu, broke into the area, wanting to obtain the Elixir of Life from the vampire lord. The elves won a victory in a relatively short time, Isra was also defeated, but managed to retreat. She later appeared when she and another lich, Aislinn, together attacked the northern area of the Contested Lands and the northern area of Erathia. A barbarian from the Krewlod, the half-human, half-genie Yog, was on his way, and decided to take his army to see what was happening on the area. Aislinn and Isra completely corrupt the area, destroying Erathian castles and building necromantic castles in their place. Some of the peasants and population were killed and those who came over to their side were sacrificed in the skeleton transformer to be used as skeletons. Aislinn and Isra then launched an attack, but Yog successfully repulsed them and liberated the area. The two leaders of the undead retreated. She only reappears after Deyja is completely defeated, when she helps the resurrected Lord Haart and his sect to burn the swamps of Tatalia, kill the natives and resurrect them as the undead. The undead death knight was finally stopped by the fire witch, Adrienne. Her further fate is unknown, it is possible that she was killed by the witch or destroyed by the Reckoning.
