Italy is a main character in the manga/anime webcomic series and anime Hetalia. Between 2007 and 2008, Himaruya gave out human names to some of the characters and Italy received the name Feliciano Vargas. He is a descendant of Ancient Rome, addressed by him as Grandpa Rome. He is also a member of the Axis Powers, alongside Japan and Germany.
Personality[]
Italy is a generally kind person, however, his cowardice gets the best of him and he ends up joining Germany and Japan in the Axis powers, technically making Italy one of the main villains in the first two seasons. He consistently comes across as far less serious and competent than either Germany or Japan.
In terms of fighting, Italy is one of the weakest characters in the series but is shown to be one of the smartest and best cooks, to the point where he apparently recruited a few English soldiers from his pasta alone.
Acts of Evil[]
Italy supported Japan and Germany in World War II as apart of the Axis Powers.
As a Villain[]
Italy is generally portrayed as the main hero of the series, and in the fandom. However, this does not change his villainous role as a member of the Axis Powers.
