He was ordered by Johan Liebert to keep his sister Nina Forter in Heidelberg Castle until he arrived, with Johan promising a good amount of money if he did. He was voiced by Doug Stone in the English Dub.
Biography[]
Ivan was ordered by Johan Liebert to make sure that his sister Nina Forter stayed in the Heidelberg Castle until he arrived in it, since Johan was planning to kill Nina's adoptive parents, the Forters, and promised to give Ivan a good amount of money if he did what he asked.
After Nina tried to leave the Heidelberg Castle, Ivan tried to stop her. He would then find Kenzo Tenma, and after noticing that he was trying to help Nina, Ivan tried to kill Tenma, but Nina stopped him and holded Ivan long enough for Tenma to tie his hands with a tie.
While Tenma and Nina went to the Forters' house to see if they were okay, a mysterious figure (possibly Johan Liebert) appeared in front of Ivan and killed him. The next day, Heinrich Lunge would go to the castle and notices a tie and marks in Ivan's body, which made him realize that Ivan was tied up before he was murdered.
Heinrich would then go to Eva Heinemann's house, since he knew that he had bought a tie similar to the one that was used to tie up Ivan, and tried to interrogate her, but she initially refused to tell him anything. Later, Eva would try to convince Tenma to go back to how they were before, but Tenma refused, which lead to Eva to tell Lunge that the tie that was used to tie up Ivan was Tenma's in an act of spite.
Because of this, Ivan's actions and death are what lead to Tenma to be seen as a criminal and forcing him to discharge himself from his job in order to go after Johan.
