Ivar is the main antagonist of the Jonny Quest episode "House of Seven Gargoyles".

Appearance

Ivar is a bald man with a mustache and dresses in a white coat.

Personality

Ivar is a foul-tempered man who takes being bothered by Dietrich with irritation.

Biography

Prior to the events of the episode, Ivar had one of the gargoyles perched on the statue stolen so that Dietrich Sorenson can spy on Dr. Erikson for him while disguised as the stolen gargoyle. After a failed attempt on Erikson's life, he derides Dietrich for this failure and for failing to steal Erikson's formula. He angrily orders the dwarf back to his post before people find he is gone. After Dietrich steals the Erikon Bar and gives it to Ivar, the spy remarks the stolen component is worth a fortune and orders a demanding Dietrich back to his perch before the castle's occupants find that he is gone.

However, when Erikson decides to report the theft to the authorities, Ivar shoots Dietrich dead and flees in his car and gets onto a boat with Race and Dr. Quest pursuing him in a helicopter. When he spots Emil and Sven, two snipers on a submarine who were supposed to pick him up, shooting at the helicopter from beneath the glacier, he orders the two to stop as it was too dangerous to try it. This fell on deaf ears as the glacier collapsed and crushed all three to death, along with the Erikon Bar.
