Iwao Goto is the secondary antagonist in Japanese horror thriller series, Gannibal (2022). He is one of the members in Goto family in Kuge Village. He is indeed the most powerful and violent among them who can kills anyone with his bare hands. He is portrayed by Mitsuo Yoshihara.
Relationship[]
In the family, Iwao does not have a special relationship. He is just the guy who happens to be there when it matters. But he only seems to be close with Makoto and Keisuke even though him and Keisuke always have an argument. However, Iwao dedicate his life to protect Keisuke since they are children although they are not biological brothers. Somehow, Masamune believes that Iwao is the embodiment of the Kashihabe. This can be related that Iwao is the bloodline of Kashihabe since Keisuke is not his biological brother.
Personality[]
Iwao Goto is a family member of Goto who has been nothing but just a regular guy. He never want to earn such an important role as a head of the family but he always been the one that knows his place and his role for making sure no one dare to threat the family. Since he is growing up, he believes that he serves for only one purpose that is protecting Keisuke no matter what cost which makes him like a second in command. He will kill anyone for him with or without his permission. Like That Man, Iwao is violently strong enough to kill someone with his only bare hands. Plus, he is calm and not much of lousy talker. He talks very politely but he can be pretty scary when it comes to intimidate anyone who he sees as a threat. He beats Daigo easily without taking a rush or seriously injured. Plus, he also can bite people off their limbs and take no shame of eating the flesh. He is indeed the powerhouse of the Goto Family and yet no one is dare to mess with him. He is there for the matter of taking care of all the dirty works for Goto.
Appearance[]
Iwao appears and dresses like a normal working guy. Through all episodes, he always wears his hat.
Fate[]
In season 2, Iwao kills Makoto for trying to shoot Keisuke after Makoto confirmed Keisuke turn his back on his family during their confrontation with Daigo who helds Yosuke, Keisuke's brother while they hold Daigo's wife and daughter. After Makoto is killed, Daigo shoots Iwao but Iwao charges at him and choke him down. Daigo manage to hold on and shoots Iwao in the head. Somehow, Iwao got to his feet and trying to attack Daigo again but Daigo is aware and put Iwao down with his judo move. After That Man shows up and took Mashiro away and everyone let the scene, the rests of Goto Family arrived and Sadamu, the major antagonist, found Iwao is still alive as he grab one of the family members in the head.
After witnessing the death of That Man, Iwao mocks him and realizes that he is no god but rather an old man who live for so long. Iwao took the piece of his flesh and eats it. He become outrage and the Goto Family trying to stop but effortless. He attacks them, leaving Keisuke put a shotgun on him. Suddenly, Iwao's eyes turn into white and became infected by Kuru disease from That Man. He wreck havoc and beat everyone but Keisuke put the stop to his rage and somehow Iwao dies after his eyes turn normal.
