Iznario Fareed is the head of the Fareed Family, the acting head of the Seven Stars of Gjallarhorn following the passing of Lord Issue, and the main antagonist of Season 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS.

He is voiced by Show Hayami in Japanese and by Marc Diraison in the English dub.

In secret, Iznario Fareed was a pedophile who adopted young boys off the street and had them pose as his sons so he could abuse and molest them. One of the boys he adopted was McGillis, whom he had pose as his illegitimate child.

Seeking to strengthen the political power of the Fareed family among the Seven Stars of Gjallarhorn, Iznario became the legal guardian of Carta Issue, the daughter of the strongest of the Seven Stars, the Issue family, after her father fell fatally ill. He later sought to strengthen the Fareed Family's ties with the Bauduin Family of the Seven Stars by arranging his son McGillis's engagement to Almiria Bauduin, the younger sister of family heir Gaelio Bauduin, even though she was only 9 years old.

After Togonosuke Makanai resigned as prime minister of Arbrau and entered self-imposed exile following a possible corruption scandal, Iznario used his capital to provide backing for Henri Fleurs' campaign for Prime Minister so that, if Fleurs was elected, Iznario would gain considerable influence over one of Earth's four economic blocs through her, along with his already prominent status as a leading member of Gjallarhorn.

However, thanks to the intervention of Tekkadan, Makanai and Kudelia Aina Bernstein made it to Edmonton in time for the election while the Tekkadan forces held off Gjallarhorn forces trying to block them from entering. After Kudelia and Makanai entered the election hall and Kudelia delivered an impassioned speech exposing Gjallarhorn's corruption, including Iznario's involvement in Henri's campaign, Makanai won re-election as Arbrau's prime minister in a landslide.

His grab for power ruined, Iznario realized his son McGillis was behind his plans falling apart. His corruption exposed, Iznario was forced to step down from his position and enter exile in disgrace. When McGillis arrived to inform him that the preparations for his departure were completed, Iznario angrily tried to confront his son, but with the Inspection Bureau due to arrive soon, he resigned himself to his fate. With Iznario gone, McGillis became the next head of the Fareed family and thus one of the Seven Stars of Gjallarhorn.

After McGillis launched a revolt to seize control of Gjallarhorn, Iznario was sought out by members of the Arianrhod Fleet commanded by Rustal Elion, who opposed McGillis' grab for power. Rustal's followers had Iznario expose the truth about McGillis being adopted and not an actual blood relative of the Fareed family, undermining his claim for leadership.
