Hutt Clan is an organization created and founded by Jabba the Hutt who originally led by Jabba until his death then it was taken over by Bib Fortuna.
History
The criminal organization is located on Tatooine outside of Hutt Space where Jabba spread operations, businesses, power and influence across many areas of the Outer Rim. Jabba's power and empire expanded beyond the regions, sections and boarders of Hutt Space.
Like all the Hutt's clans, empires and organizations Jabba's empire was created long before the founding of the Galaxy Republic and the Galactic Empire.
Canon
After Jabba's death during the rescue of Han Solo, Jabba's Majordomo Bib Fortuna escaped back to Jabba's castle and took over Jabba's criminal empire. The resulting power vacuum left different factions in charge of various parts of Tattooine. Fortuna established a series of alliances to keep the cash flowing into his pockets, which he used to bribe Mos Espa's mayor Mok Shaiz. His rule lasted for five years until Fortuna was killed by a returned Boba Fett, who took over Jabba's empire in term. At about the same time two of Jabba's cousins decided to make their own claim to the empire and confronted Fett in Mos Espa, but decided to bide their time instead of shooting it out with Fett.
Legends
Following Jabba's death, the remnants of Jabba's criminal empire began fighting for control of the empire. With no strong leader to take over, Jabba's criminal organization fractured as a result of the infighting.
