Well... I had an old suit that was starting to wear out, so I figured I need a new one. Soon as I thought that, I saw a brand spanking new suit for sale... it had a closed-cycle respiratory module and everything... I counted my money this way and that but came up short every time... then Jack, the seller, said to me, "Don't worry Vano, you can pay me the rest later." I was like, "What a nice guy!" and all that... I sold my old suit, got all my cash and brought it to him. Jack was like, "Well done, Vano, but what about the interest?" I thought, "Yeah, he's right... I need to get the interest to him..." I put together some more cash and took it to him. When I got there he said, "While you were out, more interest built up, Vano." Seems the interest grows so fast I can't catch up... I had to pawn the new suit and my weapons, too...
~ Vano about how he was caught in the scheme

Jack's Gang are minor antagonists in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call Of Pripyat.

A gang of veteran Bandits engaging in money-lending and extortion business led by Jack.

History[]

It's unknown when or where the gang was founded. It is known that the gang is engages in loan-sharking business and banditism. During the events of Call Of Pripyat a naive stalker from the Yanov Station, Vano, became one of the victims of their activities. Vano was forced to cover huge paychecks, that each time grew and grew. Eventually, Vano met Major Degtyarev, who was at the time seeking for group members, decided to hellp Vano out with his small problem. Degtyarev arrived at the abandoned military checkpoint where the gang lies, and met with the leader, Jack.

The player can choose how the meeting will end, it can end either in violence and the dissolution of the gang or peacefully. If the meeting went good, then the gang and jack will remain alive for the rest of the game. The gang can leave the Checkpoint and wander the area around Jupiter to seemingly find a new place to settle.

Membership[]

  • Jack, the leader of the gang.
  • Jack's bodyguard, is the only important bandit except for Jack. Stands right next to Jack's office.
  • 11 members, besides Jack and his bodyguard, the gang has 11 other members whose names are randomized.

Powers & Skills[]

  • Intimidation (Heavily implied): The gang itself plays a big role in ensuring that the money barrowed from Jack comes back to him. It suggests that the Bandits know how to intimidate stalkers into obeying.
