Biography[]
When Mary met Jack, he married her and becomes the stepfather to Mike and Bobby before moving into the suburbs of California.
That night, when the King was drunk, he catches Mike and Bobby staying up late and sends Mike to bed and abuses Bobby before sending Bobby to bed as well. The following day, when the King was about to have a meal, he burnt his hands on a burnt coil from the oven (which Bobby placed earlier) and severely beats Bobby, which results in Bobby being sent to the hospital and the King being attacked by the family dog, Shane.
While the King is in jail, Bobby was lying on a hospital bed where Mike and Mary comfort him. Soon afterward, the King was released after his mother died and when he got home, he apologizes to Mary and the boys before he started crying.
When the King came home, he finds the side views to his bike had been used by the boys for their plane and tells them not to touch his tools again.
That night, when Mike and Bobby went to the Wishing Spot with the Radio Flyer, he sat at a table and reads a letter for Mary (which Mike had written to earlier) and sets off to deal with the boys. However, when Mike tries to get the rock loose, the King grabs Mike and tried to hit him with a cord. An enraged Shane attacks the King once again and during the scuffle, the pipe on the Radio Flyer knocks the King to the ground, leaving him unconscious.
After Bobby left, Mary and a police officer arrive at the Wishing Spot. Mary finds Mike while the King is arrested by the police officer. As a result, the King is never seen again for the rest of the film.
