Jack Nesbitt is a supporting antagonist who appears in several episodes of Chicago Fire. He is a human sex trafficker of European women and a murderer.
He was portrayed by Eric Mabius.
Biography[]
He was a former firefighter and was good friends Matthew Casey. However, for reasons unknown, he resigned and went into business ventures. He open several clubs and became very wealthy. Secretly, he was using the businesses to funnel European women to his sex trafficking associates
"Forgive You Anything"[]
Jack approaches his old friend Matthew Casey to go into business with him. Casey accepts, as he needs the money for his contracting business.
Much later, Sgt. Hank Voight and Det. Antonio Dawson tells Casey that Nesbitt is likely involved in human sex trafficking.
"Spartacus"[]
Nesbitt and Casey continued working together before Casey was approached by one of Nesbitt's employees Katya Antov. She subtly hinted to him of some of Nesbitt's deeds. Much later, Nesbitt's associates arrived to speak with him and they were suspicious of Casey but Nesbitt shrugged it off. Soon Katya arrived at Casey's home and told him of a notebook containing info, detailing the whole ring's makeup. However, she was shot by Nesbitt's associates who arrived with the latter and took Casey to the club, while leaving Katya to die of her wound.
The traffickers accused Casey of ratting them out, despite his and Nesbitt's pleas. They demanded to know what Katya shared with him. This left Casey's fate ambiguous.
"Let It Burn"[]
The season premiere opened with Katya's body found by Gabriela Dawson, Casey's wife and her phoning her brother who realized Casey was at Nesbitt's club. It was revealed Casey overpowered his abductors and was unharmed. CPD raided the club to find him viciously assaulting Nesbitt for his role in putting him in this mess and for Katya until he was pulled off him by detectives. The bloodied Nesbitt was tended to, while Casey revealed the info about the trafficking ring while Nesbitt and his partners were taken into custody. However, Nesbitt was revealed to cooperating with the feds and was released, to Casey's ire.
"A Taste of Panama City"[]
As Casey was going to work, Nesbitt appeared to peacefully speak to him but Casey coldly turns him away. Casey later reports his encounter to Voight, stating it was obvious Nesbitt was playing the CPD and feds for his own financial gain. He requested they do something about him or he would.
That night, Casey found the info Katya left him at the club, before taking his leave. While driving, he felt he was being followed and when stopping, Nesbitt appears and Casey readied for a fight until Nesbitt holds him at gunpoint. He is given the book and remarked Casey shouldn't have gone snooping, before he prepares to kill him but CPD and the FBI led by Voight arrive, having followed Casey's warnings and secretly tailing him to catch Nesbitt. Having been exposed, Nesbitt is arrested and imprisoned for his crimes.
