Jackal was a minor villain in Gothic 1. He was one of the minions of Gomez and the ore barons, a strong warrior of the Old Camp, and the leader of the guards that attacking the Free Mine.
Biography[]
Jackal was a convict who later became a follower of Gomez and one of his elite warriors. In addition to Bloodwyn, Jackal also loved asking for ore in exchange for protecting the new prisoners. But unlike Bloodwyn, however, he did not threaten the prisoners, he understood their decision. Jackal led the attack against the Free Mine and the action was successful. The Free Mine was occupied and the guards staged a brutal massacre. Jackal and his follower’s killed everyone, even the diggers and the innocenct men. Everyone they saw was killed. Very few miners and Tarrok, an orc slave survived only. However, the triumph did not last long. The nameless hero and his friend Gorn arrived at the Free Mine. Jackal accused the hero of treason, but it was a false accusation. He then ordered his men to attack. The namelss hero killed Jackal and his men after a bloody battle. With the help of Gorn, the hero liberated the mine.
Personality[]
Jackal was an understanding yet somewhat arrogant person. He talks to the hero that he the hero's clear defense in the Old Camp and sets himself stronger than he is. He liked to speak a little contemptuously, too confidently. When they met at the Free Mine, Jackal spoke to the hero much more haughty and overweening.
Abilities[]
Jackal was an experienced and strong warrior of the Old Camp and Gomez. He had good physical strength, endurance, and his weapon was a powerful axe, the Bonebreaker. In addition, Jackal made good use of his heavy crossbow.
