Jackie-Dark is a minor antagonist in the animated series Jackie Chan Adventures. He is the Yang of Jackie Chan that comes into being through the power of the tiger talisman.
Biography[]
After getting hold of the tiger talisman in a pie eating contest, Jackie has Uncle look into its power to find it is about the balance of light and dark. As Jackie prepares to bring it to section 13, he notices it to be cracked. Upon the talisman splitting in half, Jackie himself is split into two.
The two Jackies each hold a piece of the tiger Talisman. While Jackie-Lite goes crying to Uncle over accidentally stepping on a bug, Jackie-Dark gorges himself on some of Jade's candy and mocks her about it. Just then, the Dark Hand arrives with intent to capture Jackie. Jackie-Lite flees for his life, while Jackie-Dark is eager to get his hands dirty, kicking Tohru the second he walks in the door. As he fights them, he steals Chow's jacket and sunglasses before eventually getting captured.
The dark hand brings him to their headquarters and deliver his half of the talisman to Valmont. Upon which, they find out the other group captured Jackie-Lite (who is rescued by Jade shortly after). Upon realizing Jackie-Dark to be Jackie's bad side, Valmont convinces him to work for the Dark Hand on the promise of money.
With this, Jackie-Dark breaks into Section 13 headquarters and steals the ten talismans that the heroes had acquired. He is shortly discovered by Jade and Jackie-Lite when leaving. As he gets ready to attack Jade, he is kicked by his good half, convincing Jade that Jackie-Dark has a part of him that would get him to do good if Jackie-Lite has a part of him to willingly hit somebody. Jackie-Dark refuses to listen as he continues to show intent on giving Valmont the talismans to be rich. The two Jackies then start fighting.
As they do, Jade is found and captured by Tohru who also grabs the talismans. Seeing this, Jackie-Lite demands for Jackie-Dark to help him save her. At fight, Jackie-Dark is uninterested, but then Jackie-Lite promises him that he would get to fight more.
The two Jackies break into the Dark Hands headquarters and beat up the subbordinates, Jackie-Dark discarding Chow's jacket as he does. As they make it to Valmont's quarters though, he has discovered Jade to have the other half of the tiger talisman, placing into Shendu and freeing him as the two Jackies are merged back into one.
