Jaclyn (or Heidi) is the secondary antagonist in the 2008 rendered 3D film by MGM Igor.

She is Dr. Schadenfreude's vain girlfriend who has the power to change herself into any of the mad scientists' girlfriends in order to seduce them into giving her and her boyfriend the secrets of their machines by eating some magic vitamins. She also assists in helping Dr. Schadenfraude's attempt to win the science fair.

She was voiced by Jennifer Coolidge, who also played Fiona Montgomery in A Cinderella Story, one of the two White-Faced Women in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and The White Bitch in Epic Movie. In the video game adaptation of the film, she was voiced by Simone Schmitz.

Role[]

At some point, Jaclyn was a female Igor. When Dr. Schadenfreude befriended her, she was transformed into a beautiful woman. She was given the very important role of take on the forms other women and be the girlfriends of the other evil scientists, so she could steal their inventions so her boyfriend could win every year. Jaclyn first appears as a stage girl to her boyfriend's show, then hearing Dr. Schadenfreude complains about not getting the same respect as King Malbert. She gets into a brief argument (which involves them slapping Dr. Schadenfreude's hunchback) before they make up and Jaclyn slips into one of her pills to change into Dr. Glickenstein's girlfriend named Heidi, whom his Igor (and the main protagonist of the movie) has a crush on, unaware that she is just faking it. She later appears when she and Dr. Schadenfreude find out that Igor had created life in the form of a massive monster. They chase the trio down the road but fail. Jaclyn (under Dr. Schadenfreude's commands) turns into Heidi again, this time to give him the card that teleports him to Schadenfreude's place. She gets frightened by the monster, now named Eva, but she then lies to Eva telling her she is ugly because she knows of Igor's feelings for her. She goes back and Dr. Schadenfreude kisses her before she eats a pill, turning her back into Jaclyn. Jaclyn gets so frustrated that she has to seduce every other mad scientist's girlfriend year after year to help him win and she tells him about Eva's desire to be an actress. She then turns into Heidi to seduce Igor to break Eva's heart to turn her evil and join Dr. Schadenfreude. Igor rejects "Heidi" for Eva before revealing herself to Igor. She joins in with Dr. Schadenfreude takes over the throne briefly. After Malaria is free from the evil storm clouds again, about to get the rest of her pills, but she finds out that she ran out of them, she transforms into a female hunchback. After which she got a job of as selling food at the theater and eventually started dating Schadenfreude's former Igor.

Physical Appearance[]

Jaclyn is a beautiful woman with fair skin, white hair, green eyes, red lips, a purple bowler hat, teal eye shadow, a light blue bow tie, a short black dress with purple sleeves, a short skirt, purple leggings and a veil on the bottom and boots. As Heidi, Dr. Glickenstien's girlfriend, she is a large and powerfully built woman, almost as large as Eva. She has red hair in pigtails, a Swedish accent and a Swedish dress that is purple and green. When she ran out of the pills, she is transformed into her true form - a grotesque and obese female hunchback with Heidi's pigtails.

Personality[]

Jaclyn is conniving and vain in nature. Despite being his girlfriend, Jaclyn doesn’t even seem to like Schadenfreude (who seems to return this mutually), as she constantly mouths him off, insults his reliance on stealing other inventions, and on several occasions refers to characters she claims she finds more attractive than him. The only time we see them ever interact positively is when Schadenfreude (after insulting her in their arguments) seduces her quickly and Jaclyn responds to this quickly, further revealing the toxicity of their relationship. She also shows a nastier side as Heidi, who is portrayed as shallow, ditzy, and quite rude despite her “perkiness”, by deliberately calling Igor “a dirty little hunch-person” and outright telling Eva to her face she was ugly. Her interactions with Igor as Heidi imply she has a low opinion of hunchbacks (ironically given the end of the movie when it’s revealed she herself is a hunchback), but she does seem to have some respect for Igor, as she is impressed by his intellect and doesn’t even bother continuing her facade as Heidi with him. But in the end, she turned out to be a good character who is a female hunchback. She also ends her unhealthy relationship with Dr. Schadenfreude (after outright celebrating the fact that the end of his short reign equated to the end of her relationship with him) and starts a new relationship with Dr. Schadenfreude's former Igor.
