Jacob is the main antagonist in the 2018 family comedy-drama film Instant Family. He is a pedophile who texts an inappropriate photo of himself to Lizzie, one of the main characters in the film.
Biography[]
Jacob is first mentioned when Pete and Ellie find out about Lizzie taking lewd photos of herself to Jacob, where he sends a text that says "If you don't show me something soon, I might lose interest" and then adds an explicit picture of himself, much to Pete and Ellie's horror.
The following day, Pete and Ellie go to the school to find and confront Jacob. However, when they arrive, they accidentally confront a student named Charlie, only to apologize for the mix-up when he tearfully tells them the truth; when Pete asks Charlie if he knows anyone named Jacob who's been hanging around Lizzie, Charlie then points to Jacob, who is the janitor.
He is then seen riding a Zamboni, where he is listening to music until Pete and Ellie confront him, pulling out his headphones and asking how old he is, to which they discover he is 22. Pete then punches him in the face. The parents tell him that if he ever touch, text, or think about their daughter Lizzie ever again, he's a dead man. He tells them that he will sue them and tells them they are not her parents, to which Ellie then kicks him in the nuts twice. He is then arrested and was most likely fired and sent to prison for his crimes.
