During a freezing night, a month ago when Jacob was walking home, a cloud of green meteorite dust blew all over him. The meteor rock dust combined with the freezing atmosphere altered his DNA. After that something inside Jacob changed granting him the power of atmokinesis. Discovering his new abilities, Jacob sought vengeance against the Luthors.
Elemental[]
Lex Luthor threw a party at the his mansion inviting students from Smallville High School. Among the guests were Clark Kent, Lana Lang and Whitney Fordman. Admiring Lana and her Kryptonite necklace from afar, Clark was pushed to talk to her by Lex. However, their conversation was cut short between the two when suddenly the mansion became extremely cold. Not bothered by the cold, Clark was asked by Lana why he wasn't freezing and he just shrugged.
As he was drinking, Lex's glass suddenly shattered by hailstones that were falling inside the manor. Clark notices Jacob Snell outside, who seemed to be the cause of the sudden chill. Clark went outside and confronted Jacob who blamed the Luthors for his family's problems. Clark then discovered that once again, the green meteorites have given another teen powers. Clark tried to stop Jacob from destroying the mansion and the guests by grabbing Jacob and slamming him through a window.
After getting into a fight with Clark, Jacob lost control of his powers. His ability to control the hail was seemingly gone, causing the hailstones to create an explosion that knocked him out. The resulting explosion caused Jacob to become dazed and forgetful. Afterwards, Jacob lost his memory of the recent events and an ambulance took him away. Later that night, Lex speculates that it must have been a freak storm and once again noticed strange things seem to occur when Clark is around. Clark was too distracted, however, by Lana and Whitney walking away together to answer Lex.
