~ Jacob explaining why he killed his own mother. |
Jacob Wallace is the main antagonist of the Criminal Minds episode "Innocence". Wallace is a teenage serial killer targeting the members of his family who covered up his birth out of wedlock.
He was portrayed by Landon Gimenez.
Biography[]
Wallace was from a family of churchgoers who frequently moved. His inability to keep friendships and plant his roots for long resulted in him fighting and attacking other students at school. He consulted a genealogy website to trace his family line, but when his didn't match his family's completely, it came to light he was born from his mother Melissa's extramarital affair. Filled with a religiously driven rage against his family, he snapped and kidnapped Melissa. Marching her out into the woods while she was blindfolded, she ignored her cries that she wouldn't tell. Constructing a stone cairn at the scene to evoke his motives, Wallace tied his mother to a tree and violently smashed Melissa's face in with the rifle he was armed with. He later took one of her gowns out to hang on a tree and fire at for shooting practice, leaving it behind at the scene.
The following night, Jacob murdered his aunt, Laura Nygard, marching her out into the woods and killing her in the same fashion. Jacob's stepfather, Danny, falsely confessed to the murders once he realized Wallace was the killer, but Wallace was revealed to be guilty once his profile more accurately matched. By then, he shot dead the CPS social worker watching the kids, forced his little sister Lizzie out into the woods, and was ready to shoot her when the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), who have been investigating the murders, arrived. He screamed it was his mother's fault for conceiving him with her lover and he doesn't have a family. When BAU Agent Jennifer Jareau argued that a family is made as much as it is conceived, he was distracted enough for the agents to disarm, tackle, and arrest Wallace. He was later incarcerated for his murders.
