Jaggedtooth is a minor antagonist in The Prophecies Begin arc and super edition Leopardstar's Honor, and one of the tritagonists in the novella Tigerclaw's Fury from Erin Hunter's Warriors books series.
He was a rogue named Snag and one of Tigerstar's supporters, helping him in most of his schemes. As a reward for that, Tigerstar made him a warrior of ShadowClan and gave him new name: Jaggedtooth, after which he also participated in many fights and attacks on Thunderclan. However, after Tigerstar had been killed by Scourge, Jaggedtooth joined his leader's murderer's Clan, before participating in the final battle between BloodClan and the forest clans. During it, he attacked Bramblepaw, before getting ambushed by Tawnypaw, Featherpaw, Ashpaw and Stormpaw, prompting him to flee with the remnants of BloodClan.
Biography[]
The Prophecies Begin[]
After Stonefur's execution, he is seen guarding Mistyfoot, Stormpaw and Featherpaw. He is tricked by Ravenpaw into believing that Tigerstar called him and to hand guarding the prisoners over to the former, which he does.
After Tigerstar's death though, it's been revealed that Jaggedtooth joined BloodClan. During the final battle, he attacks Bramblepaw, before getting yowled at by the apprentice's sister, Tawnypaw to leave her brother alone, who then proceeded to attack Jaggedtooth. He is last seen fleeing with the remains of BloodClan cats, being chased by the ThunderClan's apprentices.
Tigerclaw's Fury[]
Snag participates in Tigerclaw's rogue group's attack on Thunderclan, before retreating, believing the former Thunderclan deputy to be dead. He is terrified when the seemingly dead warrior reveals himself to be alive, before volunteering to go hunting alongside Tangleburr. After their return, he participates in the rogues' training sessions and assists Tigerclaw's following schemes. Upon arriving in ShadowClan's camp, he voices his opinion on the Clan's leadership falling apart. He then helps in training the Clan's apprentices, before receving his new name, Jaggedtooth. He is vocal about Tigerclaw being chosen as the next deputy of ShadowClan, to which Tigerclaw answers that this is up to Starclan's will.
Some time later, he fakes the sign from StarClan by ripping out one of his own claws, which then casts shadows that look like tiger stripes, thus making Tigerclaw the new leader of ShadowClan.
Appearance[]
Jaggedtooth is a huge, thick-furred, ginger tabby tom cat with amber eyes.
Personality[]
Jaggedtooth is a cunning cat, extremely loyal to Tigerclaw proven when he ripped his own claw just to ensure that his friend will become the next leader of ShadowClan. However, after Tigerstar's death he joined BloodClan, whose leader was responsible for his former leader's death, showing that despite his loyalty to Tigerstar, he was willing to exploit any given situation to suit himself and end up on the winning side.
