Jake is a major antagonist in the first season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead video game series.
He is the ruthless leader of the Save-Lots Bandits, a group of barbaric survivors mainly consisting of former Save-Lots employees who raid nearby camps to maintain themselves.
He was voiced by Maxwell Zorbel.
Personality[]
Jake is shown to be belligerent and hot headed, and completely ruthless, willing to murder anyone who doesn’t comply with him, children included. He shows to not even value the lives of his people, willing to murder them without a second notice and constantly hurls insults at them.
Biography[]
Background[]
As little to no known about Jake, he might be an employee in Save-Lots store before the outbreak began. After the outbreak begins, he formed/joined the bandit group and started to raid buildings and people. It's also mentioned that they raided Ben Paul, Travis and David Parker's camp and the Stone Mountain School camps, and killed people. He also became enemies with the St. John's family and would systematically kill many of their farmhands.
As detailed out Jolene's video camera, he would end up raiding her camp along with Gary, Linda and possibly other unnamed/unseen bandits, such as Bart. Jolene claims in the video tape that Jake took her little child, Danielle, raped and killed her, which can be the cause of Jolene's mental collapse.
"Starved For Help"[]
While Lee and the group were heading to the dairy, they find Jake arguing with another bandit about the issue of food, Ben claims they are responsible for raiding their camp. Jake becomes enraged and violently shoots the other bandit multiple times -and even on his corpse-, and calls him an asshole.
Later, he, along with Gary and an unnamed bandit, attack Lee and Mark with crossbows, on the St. John's dairy farm. They only managed to shoot Mark on the back but couldn't hurt them more.
"Long Road Ahead"[]
Jake is seen alongside his accomplices, ordering the bandits to take the group hostage and holding them at gunpoint, he was armed with a pistol. Before Lee came out, Jake was going to order a bandit named Drew to kick open the doors to search for Lilly and Lee.
Lee talks to Jake to distract him for a while. Depending on Lee's talking style to him, Jake can try to make a deal with motel survivors or ordering Drew to take all of them, also the supplies. Either way, Lilly shoots the leader in the head with her rifle, instantly killing him. Linda and Drew were killed by Carley (Linda only if Doug lives) and then one escaped to call in even more bandits to try and kill the group.

Trivia[]
- Jake was supposed to be killed by Lee, as seen in the preview trailer for Long Road Ahead, but this was changed later.
- In Poker Night 2, Jake, in addition to Doug, makes a cameo appearance in the intro, where Jake gets thrown unconscious into a wall by Brock Samson.
- In unused dialogue that was cut from the final version, Ben recounts a much grislier tale about the bandits and how they began picking his group off one by one and eventually raided their camp, raping any girls in their group while forcing the men to watch. It is not known whether these events are still canon but are simply not mentioned.
- Jake shares the same character model with some of the other bandits.
