Jambalaya Jake is a minor antagonist from Darkwing Duck, appearing in only two episodes. He lived in the bayou along with his pet alligator Gumbo (who seems to be much smarter than him), but the two decide to move to the big city after hearing it was easy pickings. The two make their hideout in a shack in the sewers of St. Canard, where they plot their crimes. Jake is also helped by his granny, Granny Whammy, a old witch who make potions for him to use in exchange for money.
At the end of the second episode, the two end up arrested for trying to frame Darkwing Duck for their crimes.
He was voiced by Michael Gough.
Biography[]
The Duck Knight Returns []
A prisoner resembling Jake appeared in a cell next to Megavolt and Quackerjack's, only his beard was white, not brown.
Campaign Carnage []
Jake and Gumbo appeared as members of Suff-Rage's League of Barely-Remembered Supervillains. As Jake and the other villains tackled Darkwing, Launchpad rushed over to help DW, but found himself battling Gumbo. JJ attacked Darkwing by trying to hit him with a stick. DW saved Launchpad by shooting Gumbo in the mouth with his gas gun. The two were wrapped up in a stage curtain and were revealed to have been illusions created by Suff-Rage, like the rest of the League.

Trivia[]
- Despite being a Darkwing Duck character, Jake managed to occasionally say "I guarantee", just like Leatherhead from the 1987 TMNT series, which coincidentally Leatherhead is voiced by Jim Cummings (who also voices Jake's crocodilian partner, Gumbo, and their nemesis, Darkwing Duck).
