James was a cocky drug dealing gangster and a character in the 1994 movie Fresh.
He was portrayed by Jerome Butler.
We first see him just before the 40-minute mark in the movie. He is very abusive to Fresh's sis, Nicole. He shows no respect to her, and loves to takes advantage of her. He also loves to give her his drugs. When Fresh comes into to try to persuade Nicole to see Esteban, to save his life, James outright insults Fresh, saying he "used up all the ugly in the family." He also shows disgust at the idea of "n***az in tech nines" that are "trying to take over my business." Later on, Fresh lies about James trying to use Nicole to eliminate Esteban. When Esteban arrives at Jame's place, this results in a nasty brutal fight between him, Sal and James. Esteban beats him mercilessly, and then kills James. This is the last we see of him.
