Janet Levinson (formerly Jan Levinson Gould) is the secondary antagonist in the U.S sitcom The Office.
She was formerly Michael Scott's boss and superior up until Season 3, and later became his girlfriend. However, their relationship was proven unhealthy, and the pair officially departed from their partnership in Season 4's Dinner Party.
Jan later gave birth to a baby girl, Astrid, after allegedly visiting a sperm bank off-screen.
Jan was portrayed by Melora Hardin.

Season 1[]
Jan briefly appears in "Pilot", warning Michael of possible downsizing. She states that he must take precautions. In other episodes, she calls Michael and briefly discusses the problems of health care and sexual harassment.
Season 2[]
In the episode "The Client", Jan and Michael attend a business meeting at a local Chilli’s in Scranton. In this episode, it is revealed that she divorced her husband because he didn’t want children. Near the end of the episode, after successfully making a deal, she and Michael kiss. This sparks the start of their confusing relationship. However, she denies it to all, even the cameramen who caught it.
Season 3[]
In the episode "Back From Vacation", Michael took her out to Sandals Jamaica and they had a relationship. Eventually it went public. After a while she started becoming clingy of Michael. And he broke up with her after helping Phyllis deal with being flashed by another man. She got breast enhancement surgery to help her get back together with Michael. Which worked. And then she was fired by David Wallace, because her behavior was unstable and she rarely did her job. At the end of the season she and Michael move in together.

In "Threat Level Mignight", Jan briefly appears in Michael's movie as a exotic singer, who is also a minor antagonist. She also appears in a brief interview with the PBS camera crew, embarrassingly congratulating Michael on finishing his movie.
