Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF for short), know just as Japan Self-Defense Force, is main branch of Japan Self-Defense Forces , they are the secondary antagonist organization on the anime Date A Live, the army Japan Ground Self-Defense Force is a powerful corrupt army based on true Japan Ground Self-Defense Forces that is responsible for land-based military operations and the military defense the country.
History and foundation
The JGSDF was created on July 1, 1954. After the Cold War, their main concern was to maintain internal security in Japan and combat a possible Soviet invasion. The largest of the three services of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force is responsible for maintaining internal security in Japan and operates under the command of the chief of ground staff, based in the city of Ichigaya, Tokyo.
Eiji Kimizuka is current chief of the armed forces on real life and on Date A Live universe, he is also one of the main secondary antagonist on the anime Date A Live, making him responsible for the most evil events in the first season of the anime.

In secret from the world, Japan Ground Self Defense has a majority of the craft of weapons and technology, its relationship with the DEM industries is not shown to the public and neither the world's authorities, in secret the two factions work together in creating shadows and developing weapons of mass destruction, building new types of combat units Realizaer and even using living people as designs for new weapons testing, Artemisia was alive one of these projects, it was also seen in DEM supreme HQ, the Japan Ground Self-Defense has over 30 million wizards and soldiers spread across the borders of the Japan.
In terms of its technological capabilities, the JGSDF and DEM Industries collected a huge arsenal of laser guns, together built spaceships, robots, ships and among other technologies that should be built in the future of humanity, JGSDF divide a large part of their bases with DEM Industries as a partnership for creation of technological development, they do it thinking they are doing the good for humanity.
Insecrets, the JGSDF kept his own private military force with the formation of Wizards, soldiers and Bandersnatch Drone.
Anti-Spirit Team
The Anti-Spirit Team (AST) is a special unit within the JGSDF designed to suppress and eliminate spirits by means of killing them, although they have yet to do anything more than drive them off. The public has no knowledge of this Special Forces Unit. Currently, it is shown that the AST is made purely out of females and for the most part teenage girls.
The AST is just a pawn of the JGSDF, they uses the AST also with a source of income for your business, the heads of the military party use AST to get money using the equipment given by the DEM for AST.
