Jared Fogle is a supporting antagonist in the animated adult series South Park, serving as the titular main antagonist of the episode Jared Has Aides and a minor antagonist of the 2017 video game, South Park: The Fractured but Whole.
As is common for the show's dark and often shocking humor, he is based on a real life celebrity, in this case the former spokesman for the Subway restaurant chain. Somewhat ironically the show parodied him as a pedophile before he was actually convicted in real life of child sexual abuse and possession of child pornography in 2015.
He is voiced by the series' co-creator Trey Parker, who also voiced Eric Cartman, Randy Marsh, Mr. Garrison, Mr. Hat, Scott Tenorman, Nathan, Mimsy, Barack Obama, Harrison Yates, Charles Manson, Phil Collins, and Satan in the same series, as well as Kim Jong-il in Team America: World Police and Balthazar Bratt in the Despicable Me franchise.
History
In Show
In the context of the show, Jared originally tried to con the town into his weight loss scheme which he claimed was possible via a diet of Subway sandwiches in the episode "Jared Has Aides". In reality, he was cheating in his weight loss program by enlisting the help of assistants, who he referred to as "aides" (The townsfolk thought he was referring to the AIDS virus.)
Jared would later be featured as one of the celebrities planning to file a lawsuit against the town in the episode "200", although he and another celebrity, Phil Collins, were killed when the limo they were trying to use for picking up Muhammed got blown up by the Ginger Kids. Somehow, Jared survived it.
In his later appearances, Jared became much darker as his pedophile nature was now used in typical South Park fashion as a recurring joke with him being seen trying to kidnap and molest Syrian refugee children at the PC Delta fraternity house in "Stunning and Brave".
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Jared appears as a boss in the video game and is considered to as the "one white prisoner" in an otherwise racist police department, held in captivity and is unleashed upon the New Kid and his team in order to distract them. It is revealed that Jared has not learned much from his imprisonment and throughout the boss battle tries to molest the group.
His attacks include throwing candy and sweets at the heroes and trying to ram a messy sandwich into them as if it was an ejaculating penis. He still has aides and he summons them to punch or ram into the heroes as well as give him sandwiches to heal.
After the battle is over, The New Kid can choose between farting in Jared's face, presumably killing him, or mercifully sparing him, which gives him a little chance of redemption. But neither option affects the rest of the plot.
